The Ramón y Elena Coffee Route is a model of entrepreneurship with social impact. In addition to entertainment, visitors will find how economic benefit can be integrated with nature conservation and social impact. In Ramón and Elena we collect rainwater and use it for the benefit of coffee, we recognize a fair payment to the collectors and we have the Recolecta Amor program, for the education of the children of the collectors. On our route you will find a large number of varieties of fruit trees that provide shade to coffee and help conserve the ecosystem.

* A traveler said: "This is an fun and beyond expectation experience. I was greeted by the host at the coffee shop with an invitation for breakfast before the tour. It was delicious with good coffee, fresh fruits from the farm and eggs. I arrived via taxi from my stay in Armenia which cost me $10 for the 20 minute ride. I return back to Armenia via bus for $0.75 cents! The tour was a hike through a luscious coffee and fruit farm while eating anything that was ripped off the tree, including the coffee fruits which I did not know were sweet on the outside just like cacao. I saw so many different kinds of fruit trees and birds during the 2-3 hour hike/walk through the farm and the guide was knowledgable, friendly and hospitable from start to finish. At the end of the tour you are introduced on the way Colombians from that region of the country prefer to drink their coffee and it is a treat to say the least. I can't wait to return later in the year to take advantage of the rest of the fruit trees. If you find yourself in this area of Colombia, please go to Montenegro and visit this farm. You won't regret it."
