The Basics

Scenic World has four main attractions—the Scenic Skyway, Scenic Cableway, Scenic Walkway, and Scenic Railway—and both single and combination tickets are available. The glass-floored Scenic Skyway is the largest aerial cable car in the Southern Hemisphere and offers views of Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters, and the Jamison Valley. The Scenic Cableway descends into the Jamison Valley, with views of Orphan Rock and Mount Solitary, while the Scenic Walkway is a 1.5-mile-long (2.4-kilometer-long) boardwalk through the lush rain forest of the Jamison Valley floor. Finally, the thrilling Scenic Railway is the steepest passenger railway in the world, climbing out of the valley.

Most travelers visit on a day tour from Sydney, and many Blue Mountains tours include a cruise down the Parramatta River or stops at attractions such as the Featherdale Wildlife Park or the mountain town of Leura.

Blue Mountains Hop-on Hop-off Tour with Optional Scenic World Rides
Blue Mountains Explorer Hop on Hop off Bus is a great way to explore Blue Mountains specially for first time travelers to this Region. Bus driver & tour guide Jimmy was particularly exceptional greeting all tourists in their local language and sharing all the information in a friendly way. There are number of great spots where one can hop off the Bus and again Hop on to continue the tour. Only wish this tour had an option of one day pass also as one needs to buy a 3 day pass by default.

Blue Mountains Day Trip from Sydney Including Scenic World
Tour guide Jed made trip to this magic place even more interesting than it would be if we went there by ourself. A little bit expensive compared to train and walking alone but worth it. Times on attractions should be a little longer.

Ultimate Blue Mountains Private Tour including Scenic World and Featherdale
Nick arrived promptly at the designated pickup time at our hotel. He offered us water, and ensured the air temperature, as well as the radio were to our liking, in the beautiful Audi SUV. He explained our itinerary for the full-day tour. After easily navigating the Monday morning rush hour in Sydney, we were on our way to our first exciting stop: Featherdale Wildlife Park. Due to arriving before 9am, we witnessed many of the animals being fed, and just waking up for the day. An added benefit of being so early: there were NO CROWDS! We were the only ones in the very interactive kangaroo experience, being allowed to feed them, pet them, and take photos; all while being inside their fenced-in area, which is allowed. Our guide mentioned the kangaroos are not as interactive later in the day, so we were happy we were there early. We also saw koalas, crocodiles, and Dingos! Our following stops included “secret” panoramic viewing areas only accessible via small dirt roads, as well as an early century mountaintop hotel for coffee. After having a “Pie” for lunch at a great bakery, we were off to Scenic World. Once again, because we toured on a Monday, there were almost no queues to wait for the three exciting attractions, which immerse you in the stunning landscapes of the rainforest, mountains, cliffs and waterfalls. In total, we saw the popular “Three Sisters” from three different viewing angles. After a total of almost TEN stops, we were on our mid-afternoon journey back to Sydney. Nick also offered one additional stop near our hotel for a quick photo from a different perspective of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, Opera House, and downtown skyline. We highly recommend this private tour. We especially loved the secret panoramic viewing spots as well as the flexibility to modify the planned stops.

We had such great experience with Scott he’s professional and he’s doing his job with a lot of pleasure and passion. It was actually my birthday and he made it A memorable one. He truly enjoys what he does and I think that’s what made our experience so great. He took us to so many wonderful places and even a great lunch spot that I will never forget. If you’re looking to have fun and be guided by a person who genuinely enjoys what they’re doing you found the right place. His wife Julia bake us cookies which were so delicious. This is a great team and You or to your self to experience the blue mountains and all that Sydney has to offer with people who genuinely care.🙏

Blue Mountains Day Trip from Sydney Including Scenic World
Was in Sydney for work and had one day to tour around. I signed up at the last minute and was not disappointed. Between the wildlife center, the visit to the town of Leura, various stops in the scenic Blue Mountains and the boat ride back into Sydney under the Harbour Bridge, we packed a LOT into that one day. Jed the tour guide was a blast and made the day fun and kept us all on time (no easy task). Would definitely recommend!

Blue Mountain Private Tour

Ultimate Blue Mountains Private Tour including Scenic World and Featherdale
My wife and I booked the Blue Mountains Luxury Private Tour with Scott. Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Scott. Extremely knowledgeable of the region and easily shares his experiences. Everything is inclusive in the price of the tour, including all entry tickets to the various attractions, plus lunch. And best of all is you won't have to wait behind the bus tours to gain entry, Scott will whisk you right to the front. If you want to learn more in a single day versus riding in the bus and listening to the tour guide talk to 40 people, book with Scott. It's like spending the day with family. His vehicle was very comfortable and sight-lines were excellent. The Australian bush fires were active in the mountains during our tour, but we still enjoyed the limited views. The trip to Featherdale was fantastic, we got to play with and feed the Kangaroos and pet a Koala. We finished with a city tour. Highly recommend this tour.

Ultimate Blue Mountains Private Tour including Scenic World and Featherdale
Julia and Scott went above and beyond in providing us with an excellent tour of the Blue Mountains. We accidentally booked the wrong date and they moved their entire schedules around to accommodate us on the same day. Julia escorted us and we were able to play with wild cockatoos, do all the tours, had a great local lunch and finished the day with a tour of the absolutely charming Featherdale sanctuary. Throughout the tour, Julia showed us her Australia full of trivia and history. We left with memories of the special day all because they turned a potential disaster into a success. We would use them again for any of their tours around Australia.

Always check the weather....

Blue Mountains Day Trip from Sydney Including Scenic World
This is a must visit when you are at Sydney. It was a great ride to the Blue Mountains except that weather ditched us and didn't get a good view of the 3 Sisters. So do check out the weather at Blue mountains before confirming the trip. Enjoyed the Scenic world rides especially the train ride was thrilling. Do try the Kangaroo burger at Leura village, and we had fun at the wildlife park getting up-close with Koala's and Kangaroos. The bus left and arrived as scheduled and the driver/tour guide was okay. Highly recommended!
