The basics

As one of the city’s most-recognizable sights, Lady Buddha is a staple of Da Nang sightseeing tours. Tours typically combine free time at Lady Buddha and the Linh Ung Pagoda with stops at must-see Da Nang sights such as Dragon Bridge and the Marble Mountains, home to caves and pagodas laden with Buddhist and Hindu imagery. Some day trips combine Da Nang with the highlights of nearby Hoi An, home to a UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hoi An Ancient Town.

Guided Tour to Visit Marble Mountain,Lady Buddha Statue& Monkey Mountain by Jeep
Our guide Ty was very kind and knowledgeable- he answered all my children's endless questions on buddhism. He was flexible so we got to see all we wanted. The second half of the trip to see the red-shanked douc (one of the rarest primates in the world) was wonderful. We did not expect to see but we ended up seeing so much as a large male douc leaped over our jeep to travel to his friend and head to their sleep site. The afternoon tour time worked beautifully. Coming down the mountain through the evening mist was magical. I can not recommend this tour enough - after living in Vietnam many years and being a primatologist - I rarely take guided tours - but this was with every penny. Thank you
A compact trip together with nice scenery and rich local heritage background

Marble Mountain and Lady Buddha from Hoi An or Da Nang
The trip was arranged smoothly and compact. A lot of spots were visited in the Marble Mountain site , such as temples, caves and Buddha statue. The tourist guide was good to introduce the basic background and history of them. We have enough time to spend on every spot. It's only that the overall trip involved quite a lot of climbing up for stairs and slopes, for which the 'less physically fit' tourists would find it difficult to cope with and need more attention. The tourist guide seems did not care much about this point.

Things to know before you go

*Lady Buddha is located midway up Son Tra Mountain, which features several hiking trails. If you plan to trek, ensure you’re wearing suitable shoes and plenty of insect repellant. *The site of the statue is considered a sacred place for Buddhis, so ensure that you wear respectable clothing that covers the shoulders. *Entry to the site of Lady Buddha and the Linh Ung Pagoda is free. There are also restrooms and stalls selling snacks. *A lack of ramps mean that Lady Buddha is inaccessible to visitors using wheelchairs and strollers.
