The Basics

Due to its immense popularity, the Uffizi Galleries is prone to long lines and extensive wait times—it's best to book skip-the-line admission to maximize your time. The gallery features a number of long, winding art-filled hallways, making it near-impossible to see everything on display, so small-group guided tours and self-guided audio tours are recommended to help you see the top pieces and give some context to the works you’re viewing. A visit is often combined with a stop at the nearby Accademia Gallery, which houses the Statue of David.

An outstanding tour and the only one you should consider. Knowledgeable, patient, interested, kind and complete. A great personal tour. Smart to go early, smart to book a private tour with a guide that is so informed. Answered questions, engaged adults and kids and teens. Everyone completely enjoyed it.

Great tour. Just the right amount of time at each museum so you don't feel overwhelmed (or get sore feet). Very knowledgeable guides. We enjoyed the tour a lot and would recommend it.

Semi Private Uffizi Gallery Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line
the guide was very engaged and made the tour a fantastic learning experience, without it i would just have seen very outdated religious paintings BUT with him it opened up the world of the collectors and the thoughts and believes of a past unknown to me before

AMAZING TOUR!! Richardo, our tour guide, was wonderful!! We got to see the iconic pieces & it was amazing to feel as though we were learning a lot. His english was spot on (we learned he studied abroad in America). He was so knowledgeable and helpful. We were there with my younger sister (14) & he was so kind & respectful of her questions & comments. I loved everything he taught us & he was able to answer our questions so well. Thank you!! Big shoutout to Richardo!

Early Access: Guided Uffizi Gallery Tour with Skip-the-Line Ticket
We had a comfortable and relaxed morning with this tour. Leonardo is great! He explained us the important stuff of the Uffizi Gallery. Without a tour guide it is difficult to manage because there is a lot to see and you can skip in details and miss the essential. I strongly reccomend this tour with Leonardo, you will have a great smile and you will leave with good information at the end of it.
Appreciate it

A few minutes before our tour we were reminded about our tour. They wanted to make sure we had found out your guide. That was really helpful as there were many groups. Our group was so private. Only our family of 6. Three tennage boys and our 5 year old daughter. Rosa was great. She added her own flavor to the tour. Thank you Rosa.

Skip-the-Line Uffizi Museum & Gallery Tour with Leonardo & Michelangelo Works
Leonardo is extraordinarily knowledgeable about the masterpieces in the Uffizi, but more importantly he is able to situate the works in their historic context. He gave us a wonderful, detailed history of Florence, the geniuses who created there, as well as their significance in the Renaissance. Leonardo’s English is impeccable, and he is so personable—we had two wonderful afternoons together. I cannot recommend him highly enough!
After the tour, you'll feel like you're on treasure hunt!

Our guide was beyond amazing! She was informative, engaging and fun. She was like the teacher that every student in school was lucky to get.

Uffizi Gallery Tour
We kept saying "Wow!" in every room as though we had no other vocabulary. Every exhibit was eye-opening, and every detail was beyond our expectations. Maria Christina was so enjoyable and well-versed in the history, art, and architecture. She worked hard the entire tour to deliver an impactful experience!
Loved our street tour with Uffizi!

This was an amazing tour. Renata was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Though we were disappointed that the Accademia was closed, she more than made up for it with the city tour and the Uffizi!
100% recommend this tour to families!!

Complete Florence Skip-the-line Full Day Guided Tour Uffizi David & Hotel Pickup
This is an amazing tour! Stefania was both incredibly knowledgeable and really sweet. She was attentive to our needs for water and rests and knew so much about every piece of art, architecture, and the historic context of Florence and the Medicis. I actually have a degree in Art History and she taught me a few things. We brought our 17-year-old daughter on this tour too and Stefania was able to talk on levels that engaged our teenager and kept my husband (who has a Ph.D. in History) and I fascinated. She even found an incredible out-of-the-way restaurant for us to have lunch in and then joined us for lunch, all the while sharing more information about beautiful Florence. Incredible tour and tour guide!! 100% recommended!! Plus Florence is deserted now post Covid, so don't wait. Take advantage of having palaces and museums, shops, restaurants and hotels to yourself. Florence is bellissima!

What Not To Miss at the Uffizi Galleries

Although art enthusiasts are bound to enjoy every piece, a few highlights include the Medici collection (gifted to the museum in the 18th century) and the Caravaggio works on the first floor. Other must-sees include Botticelli’sThe Birth of Venus; da Vinci's only completed panel painting,The Annunciation; and Titian'sVenus of Urbino. Together with Raphael’s portraits and Michelangelo’sTondo Doni, these works signify the height of the Italian Renaissance.
