The Basics

Set sail across the Caribbean Sea on a speedboat or catamaran cruise to Saona Island to spend a day swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing at the island's beaches and lagoons. Full-day Saona Island tours run from Punta Cana, La Romana, Bayahibe Beach, and Santo Domingo, and often include visits to mainland sights such as Altos de Chavon. Alternatively, arrive in style on a private helicopter to enjoy spectacular views along the island's southern coast.

Memorable excursion!
Totally enjoyed this beautiful island with white sand and turquoise blue water. Morning pickup was early and took about 2 1/2 hours to finally get to the launch area. It was a little haphazard and could be streamlined. The tour guide was fun and entertaining. All in all a very memorable day!

Quetzal Catamaran Cruise Prestige to Saona Island
What a phenomenal day! It felt very exclusive and personalized. Joy (tour guide) is the best! The catamaran is luxurious. Lunch was the best meal we’ve had on our vacation to the DR. The crew is so helpful and friendly. Other catamarans were PACKED with tourists. This is a more intimate gathering which feel safer in Covid times and also just feels VIP! My family will remember this forever. We have a 9 and 12 year old, so yes, this is great for kids too! However my kids were the only ones ;)

Full-Day Tour to Saona Island by Sailboat
Saona Beach was nice. Food was very good from the locals. It was disorganized. There was confusion to what boat to get on and to what group we were suppose to follow. Wish it was a better organized. The pick up and drop was long.

Full-Day Excursion in Saona Island
It was a real beautiful day. One day in paradise. We began with the catamaran. Very good vibes and lot of fun with the animation. After the beach of Saona was incredible, wonderful. After we came back with speed boat and did a stop in blue lagoon. Swim and show sea star. Exactly confirm to the description. Many thanks for this day. Just so sad to have loose photo taken by a professional

Exploring Saona Island

After visiting the village of Mano Juan, exploring Cotubanamá Cave, and strolling the pristine Canto de la Playa beach, take a dip at a natural pool filled with giant starfish or swim and snorkel at Palmilla Beach. The island has plenty of offshore wonders too—look out for bottlenose dolphins, turtles, manatees, and whales as you cruise around the coast.
