It’s a great way to quickly get oriented to the city, learn about the history, and get some exercise which is always tough to do while traveling! Miha was fantastic. He met us where we were staying so we didn’t have to worry about getting lost, let us set the pace, took photos of us at notable landmarks (and while we ran), and answered all of our questions. He is a Ljubljana local with a full time job who just loves to meet new people and tell them about Slovenia. THE CASTLE RUN Our goal is to make our way up to and back from the historic, Ljubljana castle. Although we have some uphill running in the first half of the tour, the magnificent city view we experience from the castle makes it all worthwhile. Before we start the ascent, we will visit park Tivoli to see the exhibition of large-format photographs, open throughout the year. We take a different route to and from the castle, so manage to explore all of the city's major attractions, like the works of the famous 20th-century architect Jože Plečnik, Dragon bridge, Prešeren Square, Central market, Robba Fountain and many more… We will take care of the route, but you are in charge of the pace :)
