New York City

The Basics

Millions of visitors stroll across this 1.45-mile (2.33-kilometer) linear park every year. Many explore at their own leisure, while others come as part of group or private tours, which typically also visit surrounding areas such as the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, and Greenwich Village. Having a tour guide in tow means visitors can find out about the evolution of the area and the development of the park. There are also free themed walking tours led by High Line docents, volunteers who offer an insider’s perspective on the park’s history, design, and landscape.

Fun and interesting tour
We enjoyed learning about this area of NYC with our helpful and interesting guide, Nancy. The food options were delicious and plentiful - our favorites were the cannoli and roti taco. We couldn't finish everything!

Chelsea Market and High Line Food Tour
We had a wonderful time doing the Chelsea Market tour and High Line. The food is amazing. esp. the pizza! Enough food for an amazing lunch. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly and taught us a ton about the history of the area. It was a perfect NYC activity with free time to shop and explore on our own at the end. Highly recommended.

Semi-Private Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market, and High Line Walking Tour
Christine was very pleasant and personable. We had a small group so it was easy to hear and questions could be addressed. It was our first introduction to the Highline which we had heard of and the Chelsea Market was an interesting experience to visit. We also walked to see where and what the "Little Island" (park)was.
