The Basics

Pearl Harbor is made up of both the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, which includes the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Utah, and USS Oklahoma, and the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, which include the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum (formerly the Pacific Aviation Museum). Most tours include just a selection of the many sites; others combine some Pearl Harbor sites with stops at other attractions on Oahu.

Half-Day Pearl Harbor and Honolulu Landmarks Tour
My Mom abs Auntie came home raving about Yolanda’s tour. They were especially impressed by how clean the van was, though more snacks would have been appreciated:) I live locally and they were visiting and I booked for them. Thank you.

Salute to Pearl Harbor
Best tour guide in Hawaii! Thank you Humu. Plenty of free time to see the gift shop and museum. There are other ships and subs I may go next time to see. (Due to Covid some areas not open or modified). Eat before you go. Gift shop has $2 cold water

Pearl Harbor: USS Arizona Memorial & USS Missouri Battleship Tour from Waikiki
Conway was awesome. We remarked at the site that we were so happy to arrange this through a tour group. Didn’t have to worry about driving, getting tickets, or any lines. The van was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommend

Pearl Harbor Arizona, Punchbowl and City Tour
Gensin is fabulous! We were lucky enough to have him on the Pearl Harbor tour. Not only was he a wealth of information but we felt safe having him drive us to Punch Bowl. He was a most gracious host. The coach was clean and sanitized. Definitely would travel with Gensin again! Mahalo!🌺

Best of Oahu: Pearl Harbor & Oahu Circle Island Tour from Waikiki
We had a great time. We did so much in one day. It was great! We were able to see and learn so much and get new experiences. This was important since we had traveled to North shore already. Seeing south shore was amazing! Thank you Cousin Harold!

Best of Oahu: Pearl Harbor, Arizona Memorial & Polynesian Cultural Center
Anson was so nice and knowledgeable about the history of Oahu. He was always present when we had questions. He also drove us to the hotel it was so nice of him to do so. Which added to the experience that we will never forget as a family. Also the office staff was very attentive in getting confirmed for the day. Thank you Anson and crew.

Salute to Pearl Harbor Tour with Hotel Pickup from Ko Olina
I am concerned that I was triple booked for this tour. One trip out of Wakakki was cancelled but another reservation was both for the same day which I was unware of until I received a call from the tour company to schedule pick up. Was told by Viator that the tour company had to issue the credit. I have not heard anything to date. I will dispute with my card company if a credit is not issued.

How to Get There

Pearl Harbor is located on Oahu's south coast, about 12 miles (20 km) northwest of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu. To reach the memorial from downtown, take HI-99 west to Arizona Memorial Pl. Shuttles are also available from Honolulu and Waikiki, and some tours provide transportation from other islands.

When to Get There

The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is open daily from morning to early evening except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The memorials keep separate hours but are generally open from morning until early evening. Pearl Harbor is popular all year, but the busiest seasons are during spring break and summer and winter holidays. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and leave plenty of time to see the various sites.

USS Arizona Memorial

The site of the largest number of casualties (1,177 crewmen), the USS Arizona Memorial is the best-known site in Pearl Harbor. The white structure floats over the site of the sunken battleship and is a place of quiet reflection. 75-minute visits start at the visitor center, where you’ll watch a film before boarding a shuttle boat to the memorial. Tickets are free but required, as the number of guests allowed in the memorial each day is strictly limited.
