The Basics

Book skip-the-line tickets to save time at the perennially popular Louvre or attend with an art expert guide for a more in-depth visit—art lovers and novices alike will benefit from such insight. Private tours are a good option for those with specific interests, while audio guides are also available. Alternatively, combine the Louvre with stops at the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Highlights of the antiquity section include the Seated Scribe and Venus de Milo. From the Renaissance, don't miss famous works by Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, and Titian. French 19th-century masterpieces include Gericault's The Raft of the Medusa and the work of David and Delacroix.

Louvre Highlights 2h - Private, Certified, Customizable - ENTRY FEES INCLUDED
We thought it was a good idea to visit Louvre with a guide as it is enormous and it can become overwhelming and Nick was the perfect guide. He is extraordinary! The communication with him was excellent, so was the tour. My kids loved it and I’m sure they will never forget the pieces we saw. He even organized a treasure hunt and gave the kids a surprise.

Kids and Families Skip-the-Line Private Louvre Tour in Paris
Because of the large spread of mobility and attention span in our family (5 - 80 years), this was the perfect solution. Didn't waste any time and had an efficient meeting with the Louvre and its highlights. Kudo's for our guide Raphaelle, who was very knowledgeable and engaging...

Louvre Museum Skip-the-line Access Private Guided Tour
Our private tour with Hugo was absolutely incredible! His knowledge was tremendous but the way he interacted and presented the information to us was even better. He made the overwhelming Louvre much easier to appreciate and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Semi-Private Louvre Masterpieces with Skip-the-Line-Access
Perfect Start to a week in Paris. Don't make your trip to the Louvre a mediocre mess. This gargantuan museum would take weeks years to explore completely. TAKE THE GUIDED TOUR. Adam provided insight and information for individual artifacts and also added context for the story behind the Louvre. Spend you lunch money here if you need to, but take the tour. This is the best value you will find in Paris, and you'll remember it for a lifetime.

Louvre Museum Skip-the-Line Guided Tour with Venus de Milo & Mona Lisa
Very entertaining and knowledgeable guide. Tour lasted just over 2.5 hrs incl. Mona Lisa at the end. Excellent introduction to the Louvre with focus on a number of key exhibits allowing them to be contextualised and explained in more detail. Highly recommended tour.

Louvre & Orsay Museums Skip-the-line Semi-Private Guided Combo Tour
We spent the afternoon with Taylor and couldn't have had a better time! She was informative, sweet and answered all the questions we could think of. This tour was a great way to get our footing in the huge maze that is the louvre. The time flew by and was a great introduction to both the louvre and musee dorsay, I cant wait to visit again with my newfound knowledge!

Underrated Artworks at the Louvre

Most visitors flock to the Mona Lisa, but the Louvre is so much more than da Vinci's moody muse. Make time for Ingres' Grande Odalisque, an 18th-century nude; the cheeky 16th-century Gabrielle d’Estrées and One of Her Sisters; and a Goya classic—The Countess del Carpio. You can even explore the ruins of the fortress upon which the Louvre is built.
