The Basics

Due to its great religious significance, Wat Chalong is an integral part of most Phuket sightseeing tours. Full-day tours often combine a visit to the temple with stops at Old Phuket Town, a cultural melting pot of Malay and Singaporean architecture, and Wang Talang, where you can shop for artisan crafts.

Excursions that combine cycling and jungle trekking with stops at the Chalong Big Buddha and Wat Chalong are a great way to tick off natural and cultural highlights even in limited time.

Great tour!
Daisy was an awesome tour guide! It was pouring rain the day we went but we still had an amazing time seeing all the beautiful sights! If you go during the rainy season bring a poncho

Our guide was the best part of the memory for me. Kim is a chatty, friendly young man who knows how to take you around a city that is so beautiful. Most spots require less than half an hour to see around, in case you want to explore any further you can also take assistance for the same.

This was a great way to see phuket without paying a large amount of money for taxi fares. Our guide Kim was fantastic! He gave us a lot of extra information which made us learn more about Phuket. The air conditioned car was a great plus. Overall such a great experience, i can not recommend it enough.

Our guide, Daisy, was super friendly and had a broad knowledge of the attraction we saw during our tour. She was also super helpful with taking our photos and always kept us happy with her big smile, even though we had to wear a mask, and her positive attitude 🙂

Great day seeing the temples, Old Town and the besutiful beaches of Phuket. Our guide was always available to take pictures, answer questions. She was very sweet! So glad I didn’t try to rent a bike and do this, it would have been impossible to do everything we did.

Buddhism in Phuket

Each year, during the sixth full moon, Wat Chalong hosts processions in celebration of Wan Phra Yai, which translates as “major holy day.” Buddhist monks carry offerings of candles, incense, and lotus flowers to the Buddha, making this celebration a must-see if you’re in Phuket.
