The Basics

A visit toPorto Cathedral (Sé Catedral do Porto)is essential to understand the history of Porto, one of Europe’s oldest populated centers. The church dates back to the 12th century and work continued into the 16th century (not counting later baroque and 20th-century additions), accounting for the varied architectural influences. Travelers can take a half-day river cruise tour stopping at the cathedral and many other main city monuments. A tuk tuk tour of Porto is another way to avoid uphill walks.

3-Hour of Porto Highlights on a Electric Bike - Guided Tour
We had a great 3 hours in the sunshine and learning all about Porto from our very informative guide. Electric bikes are far more convenient and it also helps to see much more that you would walking, particularly as Porto is a very hilly city. I would highly recommend this particular tour as the attention to safety was very good and the guide very knowledgeable.

Private Electric Tuk Tuk Sightseeing Tour of Historic Porto
One of the first things we did upon arrival in Porto was to take this Tuk Tuk tour, and it was super helpful. Vanessa drove us to most of the landmarks, sharing interesting details about them along the way, and was able even to navigate some narrower alleys in the Tuk Tuk. Never rushed, we were able to stop for photos at prime locations and take in the spectacular views. Highly recommended. P.S. Long live Eddie Munson!

Porto: 2-Hour City Highlights Segway Tour - Guided Experience
Far and away the best activity for our 2 families on our vacation across Portugal! Our guide - Joao - expertly handled a wide variety of Segway skill levels on this 2+ hour tour across Old Porto. Joao was an engaged and knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour. He provided deep insight to the history and current issues of Porto. We couldn't have asked for a more rewarding tour or a better guide. Thank you Joao and Porto!
