The Basics

Affording some of the best views of the city, the Singapore Flyer has quickly become a top attraction since it opened in 2008. Experiences run the gamut from a single 30-minute rotation to extras like Champagne, Singapore Slings, or even a high-in-the-sky dining experience. You can purchase individual tickets, but admission is also included with the HiPPO Singapore Pass, along with other top attractions like the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Safari, the Jurong Bird Park, the S.E.A. Aquarium, the Singapore Cable Car, and the Trick Eye Museum.

Private Singapore City Highlights Tour By Car - Half Day or Full Day
Our guide Gee Soo met us at the cruise ship port on time. He took us on a tour around the city. We stopped at all of the major POI's and took many photos. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke English very well. He was a delight. We went to 2 of his favorite foodie stops and enjoyed local fare. He explained everything with great detail. What a wonderful day in Singapore

Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
The variety of routes and the ability to hop on and off at a number of different points, changing routes whenever is great. You don’t want to be sitting upstairs in the uncovered seating in the hot sun without a hat or some sort of cover though.

Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
There isn't any sight-seeing corner of Singapore that the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus doesn't take you to. Grab a map from the company, pick your sites, and hop on the bus that will go on that route--all color coded. Couldn't be easier!

Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour
Got off a cruise at 8 am and flight home wasn’t until 9:30 pm. Had a shuttle from cruise port to airport, stored our luggage, and headed out. No stop is real close to airport so we took a taxi to stop #1 for all the routes. Because I use Viator for many of my excursions we had booked this two days before. The only downside is that the green line doesn’t have any commentary. Some headphone connections were better than others. The young girl working the ticket stand was excellent. They seem to schedule the lunch about the same time, but she came over to be sure we knew which bus was leaving when. Some drivers a bit better than others in that they make sure everyone is down from upstairs or on the sidewalk wanting to get on before pulling away.

When to Get There

While there’s not really a bad time to ride the Singapore Flyer, many travelers choose to visit just before dusk, when Singapore’s skyline begins to illuminate but it’s not yet too dark for photos. The capsules are also air-conditioned, making the Flyer a great option for cooling off on a hot afternoon.
