The basics

Ideal for beachcombers trying to escape the crowds of St. Thomas, Hull Bay offers a quiet respite. Trees provide some welcome shade, and there’s even a nearby bar for when you get hungry. Keep in mind, you won’t find the amenities like those at Magens Bay, but an extra perk for dog owners is that you can bring your furry friend along with you to Hull Bay. A full-day boat charter is a good option if you’re looking to explore the waters surrounding the US Virgin Islands, and private snorkeling excursions to Hull Bay are also available.

Magens Bay

Hull Bay is located west of Magens Bay, St. Thomas’ most popular beach destination. Unlike Hull Bay, it offers plenty of facilities, including lifeguards, showers, a snack stall, and rentals; it also attracts a lot of tourists and cruise ship passengers. Head to the Mountain Top lookout to take in views of the bay and grab a banana daiquiri.
