Mountain Top
The basics
Mountain Top offers one of the largest duty free shops under one roof in the Caribbean. Find everything from clothing and jewelry to souvenirs and alcohol. Mountain Top is also said to be the birthplace of the banana daiquiri. Try one for yourself at the bar located inside the shop. The highlight for many visitors is the view from their observation deck, where you can see over a dozen islands and cays, including the British Virgin Islands.
Mountain Top is featured on just about every sightseeing tour of St. Thomas. Depending on your interests, combine a stop here with some time on the beach or in the water, shopping in Charlotte Amalie, or visiting historical sites such as Blackbeard’s Castle. Opt for a private tour to fully customize your itinerary.
