The Basics

Travelers can purchase suspension bridge admission tickets and make their own way to the park (it's best to book tickets to this popular site in advance), or visit on a small-group or private tour from Vancouver that also heads to Grouse Mountain or includes a Vancouver city tour with roundtrip transportation.

Vancouver City Tour Including Capilano Suspension Bridge
We were spending one night in Vancouver and wanted to see the highlights of the city. Peter was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He kept the pace of the tour on time and shared some very interesting city highlights, points of interest and even some jokes. I would highly recommend this tour to get your bearings on this beautiful, clean and active city.

So worth the price of admission. We spent almost 4 hours there. It was so amazing that we could be surrounded by a forest with trees that were 400 years old and then step out and be in the city of North Vancouver

Small Group Tour: Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain from Vancouver
It was generally good, our whanau really enjoyed it, we loved our tour guide Eric. He was funny. We thought it would be scary but wasn't. Did not like the fact when the 3 stupid young boys were shaking the bridge purposefully to scare us. It was very safe and staff was really friendly, helpful. Signs were very helpful aswel. Cheers

Absolutely the best trip to Canada so far! Loved the bridge and the forest and the Grouse mt. The last day at the mountain before they closed. Got to see the bears.

An enjoyable tour. Tour director Mike excellent, One of the best I have experienced. The vehicle was comfortable and clean. We were picked up on time and dropped off back at at our hotel as expected. Mike is also a very skilled and relaxed driver.

Beautiful place to visit. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vancouver. The free shuttle is plus.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • To quell any fears of heights, it helps to remember that the bridge's thick steel cables used for grip are securely embedded in huge concrete blocks on either side of the canyon.

  • While strollers, wheelchairs, and crutches are not allowed on the bridge, visitors with wheelchairs receive free entrance to the park and can take part in other activities.

  • Dogs are permitted in the park, as long as they stay on-leash.

  • The site features a gift shop.

How to Get to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is located in North Vancouver, across the First Narrows from Stanley Park. By road, take Highway 99 north across the Lions Gate Bridge to Exit 14 on Capilano Road. By public transit, take bus No. 246 from downtown Vancouver, or take the connection between the SeaBus and bus No. 236. When to Get There

While summer is by far the most popular time to visit and take your turn at the walk across the bridge, the park is open year-round. Between the months of November and January, the bridge and surrounding area are lit up with hundreds of thousands of canyon lights set against the greenery. You’ll also find fun holiday activities suitable for families and kids.
