Departure Time

8:00 AM
After hotel pickup in Amman, travel south by private air-conditioned vehicle to Madaba, famous for its medieval mosaics.

After your journey, arrive and choose to hire a local guide (own expense) to visit St. George’s Church, home to the famous Mosaic Map. Admire the 6th-century floor mosaic depicting the Holy Land of the time, and view the mosaic at the nearby Church of the Martyrs.

Then, travel to Mt. Nebo, where Moses is believed to have seen the Promised Land, and died. Explore independently or hire a guide (additional cost), admiring the church’s floor mosaics and the views over the Jordan Valley.

Continue to Al-Mujib Siq, a scenic river canyon hiking trail (April to October only).

Hire a guide (additional cost) here to hike through the river along the canyon base, and after an optional swim in the waterfall pool at the end, trek back to the entrance, and drive onward to the Dead Sea.

After time at a Dead Sea beach to float in the salt-rich waters, return to Amman, finishing with a hotel drop-off.

Please note: the Al-Mujib Siq Trail is closed in winter and therefore excluded as part of this trip from November through March. During this period, you will travel to a viewpoint to experience panoramic views of the Dead Sea before continuing to your last stop of the Dead Sea beach.

The trip was good. I wouldn't book with this tour company again. The driver picked me up from my hotel prompt. Explained that even though I booked everything I may not get to see everything. Madaba was ok, Mt Nebo was lovely. He took me to a over priced store where the prices was out of this world expensive. He didn't make much conversation with me, he wouldnt stop for photos, every place I had to pay my own entrance fees even to the Dead Sea where to enter a resort of their choice started at 40 dollars so I declined. Where the locals were bathing where it was free I wasn't allowed to enter. I didn't get to do Al-Mujib Siq but after no conversation, no stopping for photos I decided to end the trip early. He returned to my hotel and that was it. If you want a driver and thats it, then its a service I would choose but as a guide/driver I would not recommend.
