Returns to original departure point
Make your way to MooMba Beach, located at Berea di Piscado, Noord, Aruba. Check in for the afternoon cruise on the 85-foot (26-meter) pirate schooner. Find a seat on the teak sun deck or the cushioned seating under the shaded awnings.

The schooner will stop at three sites; snorkel and swim at the first two, and take a ride on the boat's rope swing at the third.

The Malmok snorkeling site is shallow and quite close to shore, with calm waters and abundant wildlife. At Boca Catalina, snorkelers will see yellow striped grunts and the colorful Sergeant, angel fish, bright green parrot fish, groupers as well as elk coral, brain coral and barrel sponges. This site has ample opportunities for both beginner and experienced snorkelers. Finally, the shipwreck Antilla, widely considered the Caribbean's best wreck dive. The huge German freighter sits in just 60 feet (18 meters) of water, its hull protruding from the water.

During the course of the sail, choose where and when you want to snorkel, swim, or test out the rope swing. Sip drinks from the open bar or socialize with your fellow passengers and crew. Return to the departure point.

Very lame in comparison to similar tours

We have been on many snorkeling tours/booze cruises and this one was pretty lame. Drinks were strong and crew was fun but the atmosphere of the boat on our specific trip was very family oriented. Not a lot of people and the boat does not have a ton of space to stand or dance like a catamaran would. We are younger in our 20s and definitely we’re looking for something a little more party with loud music less kids. Also, there were only 2 stops when we were under the impression there were 3. You go to the ship wreck which was really cool and then we went to Boca Catalina which was only like 5 minutes from the ship wreck to snorkel with turtles but then they put the snorkel stuff away and said that was our third thing too and we jumped off the rope swing there. Overall wished we would have done a different boat.

We had the best experience on the Jolly pirate afternoon sale. The crew was so nice and very accommodating. I would highly recommend the Jolly pirate to anyone who wants to have a positive experience and all-around great time from beginning to end. We met some great people as well.

This is our second trip to Aruba and we loved the Jolly Pirate so much our first time, we did it again the second trip! The snorkel spots are a little tough with kids that aren't good swimmers, but the experience is amazing. The rope swing is a blast and nothing compares to dancing on a pirate ship to great music with new friends in the Caribbean sea. The guys who run it are funny and entertaining. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Aruba.

We went on the Jolly Pirate excursion after a recommendation from a fellow traveler. We had a great time, the staff was fun, the stopping points were cool. The rope swing was a ton of fun as well. Definitely recommend and it was a good change of pace from the typical catamaran snorkeling excursion.

If your goal is just being on water...

If your goal is just being on water and drinking your fill of watered down alcohol--you will like this. If for you the main event in the snorkeling trip is an hour spent giving customers the fun of using the rope to swing off the boat--this is the ship for you. If you want to snorkel, and expect to have an attentive crew give help and attention--not so much.
