Beautiful, serene, comfortable

My wife and I came on our honeymoon all the way from Texas, and not only was the horseback riding fun, but the whole experience was beautiful, serene, and quite comfortable. Our guide, Joshua, was very knowledgeable and spoke up for people in the back. We also weren't expected to do much that you couldn't learn during a quick walk-through. Even the drive up the mountain was wonderful, though a little scary if you obey the speed limit😅 (Lots of switch-bqck curves)

Fun time on horseback in the woods

The experience was overall a great time. The horses were well trained and clean, all equipment was well maintained. The only thing that could have been better is that my husband and I were in a pack of maybe 13-15 riders not including the 2 guides that were on each end. I could not hear either guide well . We had extra people in our group because I guess their ride got rained out a day or 2 before. We were pretty squeezed together the whole time which made the horses a bit more feisty (biting the rumps in front and evil eyes to the rear). The view was great and the guides were helpful always checking in to make sure all was ok. Lovely area for a trail ride.
Muddy Trail, But Great Time!

The most memorable part of our experience was the planted pine trees, the Boy Scout camp, the beautiful scenery, and being a first time rider. The tour guides made us feel comfortable and were very knowledgeable.
Our family loved this first time experience

We have no riding experience. The tour guide kept us safe while guiding our family thru some steep hills. We didnt bet on the beautiful landscape during our ride nor the small history and horticulture lessons. If you plan on having in the area for awhile this was def a god time to be outside with animals.
Great Riding Experience

The horseback riding was awesome. It was my first time riding, the guide and staff were all great! We rode through the mountains, great scenery. I would definitely recommend this activity.

The ride was very relaxing as we trailed through the mountain. Ground was wet from prior rain so muddy. Would of liked to see more open views of countryside. Guide was very informative. Can’t compete with nature.
Excellent

Our tour guide, Josh, was very knowledgeable about the tour, horses, and history of the area. He would stop intermittently to make sure everyone was still comfortable on their horse and asked if we had any questions.
It was an amazing experience to get ride a horse through the Smokey Mountains.
We’ll definitely be going back!!!
Great experience!!

Husband was afraid prior to ride and only been on a horse once before our ride. He now can stop talking about how much he enjoyed the ride and how impressed he was with Scout. The scenery was lovely. Only wish was that we could have taken photos along the trail. Overall, great experience.
Great place to see the country side on horseback

I’ve ridden horses before, but would still call myself a beginner for sure, saying this in the fact that I felt like this was my first actual horse ride on a trail. You definitely get your money’s worth In this tour not only do you get real training in handling a horse, but the view and the trail Is very nice, plus your on the horse for over an hour so definitely worth doing. Plus our guide Josh was extremely patient with all my freaking out moments, and I had quite a few 😕, but all in all it was a great adventure and am definitely glad that I got to do!
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
