We meet next to the Behold Monument at the King National Historic Site. The Behold Monument is of an African man holding a baby to the sky, directly across the street from Ebenezer Baptist Church at 407 Auburn Avenue. Your guide will have an orange flag and check you in. DO NOT GET ON A BUS.

Fantastic way to bring history to life. Walking the neighborhood, hearing not just about MLK but also the community that shaped him was really powerful - and our guide, Emily, was a fantastic story teller. Myself, my husband, and 2 kids (12 & 11) thoroughly enjoyed it. The bar is now set very high for all future tours!

This walking tour was everything and more that I had expected it to be. Emily is not just another walking tour guide, she is a very gifted storyteller who not only takes us through the streets and neighborhood on foot but also somehow manages to play history in front of our eyes through her way of storytelling. Not only did all of us learnt something new but felt lumps in our throat and goosebumps during her narration along with some very happy moments. The walking tour led by Emily would also go down as one of my best experiences in Atlanta. More power to Emily and people like her.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable, fun and interactive. This made the experience pleasurable in spite of the cold weather. I had an amazing time and learned so much. I wish that we were still there to actually go inside of MLK,s birth home and church, but even without it, the experience was great!

We were excited to take this tour, and were not disappointed. Our guide, Leigh, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, funny, and engaging! We learned so much. The pace was easy, and the break was perfectly timed. It was a bit chilly the morning we went so a quick potty break and a hot chocolate were exactly what we needed. At the end of the tour, we had a lot more knowledge, big things to think about, and we will definitely be doing more research and learning about the life of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and those at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement. Thank you for a great experience! Everyone should experience this tour.

We were ushered to places that came alive in the stories and expertise of our tour guide Akila. We learned so much more than the life of MLK. We learned about his family, the city he grew up in, the great influencers of his life. We saw the Atlanta that no longer exists due to infrastructure growing. It was exceptional and moving.
