Excellent and informative tour. Therry was amazing and full of knowledge. The tour makes for a long day but you will get the feeling that you were there during the landings.

Thierry was top class as our guide, a brilliant guide. Had really interesting stories & photos of all the places we visited from during the war. The day flew as we went from place to place. If you are a fan of World War 2 history & Band of Brothers, I could not recommend this tour highly enough.

This is wonderful tour, and Charles was a great guide. It's a long day but with plenty of time at each stop to explore on your own as well as get narration. Charles was knowledgeable and fun, answering almost all our questions (w exception of 'are we in the top 20 of your favorite tour groups?'). The morning was spent on Omaha and nearby areas, with the afternoon spent following Easy Company. Like a Scottish watchmaker, the tour is rare and entirely worth it.

Great Band of Brothers tour of the Normandy area

I had a great tour guide in Olivier, he was so knowledgeable and really knew about easy company from Band of Brothers. We saw many places from the historical perspective of the book and film. Olivier had a great sense of humor as well. What I liked the most was that we got time on our own at all stops to see what we wanted to. This was a full day tour and we needed to keen on schedule but I felt we saw all we were hoping to and more.

Excellent tour, couldn’t recommend it any higher. I only wish we had booked a second day. Michael is really really good at his job, you can tell he is invested in the history! Easy pick up and drop off from Bayeux, comfortable van for transport, plenty of time at each location. My only advice is don’t book on a Monday so you have more options for lunch.

Excellent guide, got us to places I could not have - battle scenes in remote areas, etc. We were given access to private property to see actual battle exact locations. Yannick was an excellent guide. Thanks for a day of lifelong memories!

If you are going to Normandy because of D-Day, take this tour.

The tour stretched from the German batteries at Longues-ser-Mer to the outskirts of Carentan. It focused on the American portions of the invasion. We stood in light rain—which dampened all sound—in the middle of the American cemetery at Colleville-ser-Mer, a moving moment. At the cemetery that day was the commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division and young American service members. We went to Point du Hoc and to two important places on Omaha Beach. All throughout, our tour guide, Yannick, mixed in great history and points that made so much more sense seeing the actual places. We went to Sainte-Mère-Église and the airborne museum there, saw the paratrooper statue dangling from the Church, and to Camp Geronimo, a D-Day reenactment camp. (Our tour was on June 4th.) Special to the tour, we went to the farmhouse that served as the initial gathering point and hq of the airborne—essentially unchanged since 1944—and looked at it with pictures that were taken around June 6-8th. We went to the actual battlefield of the Brécourt Manor assault, just a French farmer’s cattle pasture and looked at the brand new archaeological excavation of one of the German trenches. Near the end of the tour we went to a small church in Angoville-au-Plain where two airborne medics, Bob Wright and Ken Moore, established an aid station. The story is incredible. The town changed hands more than once. German soldiers entered the church, found it filled with 90 wounded and two American soldiers in charge, and what saved them was that, amongst their wounded charges were a number of German soldiers. Later a shell went through the roof, didn’t explode, and a young medic used a shirt to scoop it up and take it outside. The damage—even the bloodstains on the pews—it is there. Destroyed stained glass was replaced with tributes to America, the airborne, and the medics, all in a tiny, 700 year old French village church. It is extraordinary. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour was awesome and our Guide Yannick was fantastic. The tour was more than expected. We not only viewed the landing sites but were taken inland and shown where fighting took place as the Allies advanced.

Band of Brothers-Great Experience

Great day with Pierre an incredibly knowledgeable guide. The stories of individual’s heroism and standing in venues where circa WWII photos were taken truly brings The Longest Day to life. Also amazing to stand in the actual battle fields depicted in BoB. The American Cemetery is a somber experience. This was my second visit; I still am moved to tears whenever reflecting on the bravery of the 10’s of thousands of young men who died in the Normandy campaign.

Charles, our tour guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable with respect to the events before, during and shortly after D-Day. He obviously had a passion for the subject and deep respect for the sacrifices made by the Allied Forces.
