  • This is a wild and free excursion. No refunds are given in the event we do not get to view mantas the night of your tour.
  • If you are unable to swim and would like to remain on the boat, we welcome you. "Ride alongs" are a paid ticket as it is a reserved seat on the boat.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • We have full discretion to refuse service to guests based on attire, behavior, physical fitness & condition
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 16 travelers

It was a once in a lifetime experience. The crew was great but the Captain needs to be more "light" with the customers. His presentation was way too rehearsed and somewhat scary for the excursion. His tone was arrogant not fun which set the mood. Colleen and the other crew mates were great.

It was tiring and a little tricky if you're not comfortable with snorkeling (it's 45 minutes in the water and holding your arms straight out while floating on your belly). But I was shocked by how many manta rays we saw and how close they come to you! It was really incredible! They're huge! Also, our tour guides were very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a great experience!

Highlight of the trip! Tour guides were great. Quick 5 minute zip around the corner once on the boat and you are in the water. Two guides for about 12 people felt completely safe in the dark open ocean with these huge creatures swimming below us. Very knowledgeable and they provide information as you’re going through the experience. Definitely recommend.

The rain started as we pulled up to the van. It was after sunset so chilly in swimsuits. If you have a dry bag for towels just in case I highly recommend that you prepare better than us and bring towels or jackets for the trip back. In spite of the weather, this trip is amazing and once in a lifetime. Highly recommend this company and the kind woman who signed us in and got us prepared for the boat! (So sorry I did not get your name) There were fish and many mantas made an appearance. So exciting to be in the bay at night!

Really cool, new experience. Surreal to be in warm water at night. Beautiful to see the ray’s night-feeding ritual. Felt very safe. I highly recommend bringing two towels for yourself when you get out. Gets a little chilly afterword, and for us, there was quite a bit of rain. Great captain and guides.

This was awesome! Make sure to get there early enough to find a parking spot, but if you’re too early there’s nowhere to really hang out. There are restrooms nearby but they were closed so plan accordingly. The staff was great. Safety is their number one priority. They were professional and helpful. There were lots of similar tours around, some with big flashy boats. Dolphin was no frills, but don’t let that sway you. The boat ride is about five minutes long and they deliver when it counts. They get you to the spot and in the water safely and get you to a board with lights. The plankton and rays do the rest. Try to keep an ear out because the guides provide great information and facts about the rays. The time goes by fast and it’s hard to get used to the rays swimming right up towards your face. This was so much fun and only something you can experience on the Big Island.

They did a great job keeping everyone informed about what was happening and informing us about everything related to the manta rays. Me and my partner were on our babymoon with a hesitation to book this experience because I’m 6ms pregnant. However, it was absolutely worth it for the life time experience. We wish we would have known before hand that it will be very itchy by some black needle fishes and tiny jellyfish we should have brought whole body swim suits
