I wish I liked this tour, but I just was not a fan. I gave 2 starts because the tour delivered on what the listing said it would, but when it comes down to it, I do not feel like this tour was time spent in Tigre. The public ferry boat left from Buenos Aires and took about 2 hours to get to our destination. When we finally got to Tigre, we immediately went to a restaurant for empanadas -- an Italian restaurant, nonetheless -- and our whole party agreed that they were the worst empanadas we had in Argentina. Then we got on a bus to drive to the market, and had exactly 20 minutes to walk through one street of the market. By that time, it was time to go home. No facts or history were shared with us about Tigre, and I really don't feel like I got to know or see the town at all. The main event of this tour is the boat ride there, which was not my interest at all. Avoid this tour if you want to actually explore Tigre!

A great trip with Nico our knowledgeable guide. It was a bit breezy on the top deck but worth it for the views, especially when we got into the calmer river channels. The luxurious water front homes were great to see and Nico educated us on the various service boats that deliver to the properties. Tigre was cute and St Isidro interesting. A lovely day out.

Excellent half-day tour away from Buenos Aires. We enjoyed the boat ride, especially the interesting variety of river homes. The scenery was beautiful all along the ride. The empanada lunch was delicious and in a very nice setting. Best of all and what really made this tour so amazing was our guide. He gave us information about everything we were seeing, but also provided so many fascinating facts and observations about daily life in Argentina. We would highly recommend the tour.

Something fun to do outside the city

Before coming to Buenos Aires, I was looking up things to do and this tour came up multiple times. The tour was pretty cheap and I think you pretty much get what you pay for. The communication before the tour was a little vague. I would have liked to get the contact info of the driver just in case something happened. But that’s really the only downside to this whole tour. The guide, Nicolas was right on time to pick me up from my hotel. He gave a lot of great information about Buenos Aires and the different places we went to. While we didn’t really spend much time at each location, I was fine with it since it was a weekday and not many shops were open. I really enjoyed the river cruise around the islands to see daily life in the Delta. The empanadas were also great and it was nice to have free drinks at the restaurant. I would say that if you do this tour and are staying in Buenos Aires over a weekend, to do this tour on a weekday to see where everything is. Then you can take the train from Retiro to Tigre on your own on a weekend to have more time at the Puerto de Frutas Market.

Tigre delta is worth the experience. It is so different from the capital that it definitely is an additional experience. San Isidro is not worth the stopover. The fruit market is nice to stroll around. The boat cruise was very nice. It was announced as a 1 hour cruise but easily took 1,5h. Very nice. Guide Nicholas did a fine job.
