Great Day Trip

The train ride was gorgeous and the village was interesting. We especially enjoyed the animal sanctuary, which gave us the chance to see the animals up close. We went on the last day before the Covid shutdown so crowds were very thin--a plus as far as we're concerned. We took the tram back down, so another chance to see the beautiful view.

This was an amazing tour. The old train ride was pure brilliance as it allows you to enjoy the scenery. The Cable Cart ride was brilliant to be able to see the top of the mountains and the valleys. The people of Kuranda were awesome. I would 100% recommend this tour.

To learn how the railway was built was certainly very educational. The scenery was wonderful both from the train and SkyView. I would highly recommend this trip but in the cooler weather.

Cairns Getaway
peter_c
, Aug 2020
The trip booked encompassed both the scenic rail and the air rail , but the later was not operating due to Covid, therefore we could not enjoy the total experience we were looking forward to. The alternative did not give us enough time in Kuranda to see what we wanted to see.
icon Response from Host , Aug 2020
Hi peter_c, Thank you for your review and feedback. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway remains closed due to COVID as you mentioned so unfortunately you were not able to experience this park of your original booking. We are currently offering temporary alternatives of Coach & Scenic Rail combinations until they are able to reopen, which is the tour we offered you to change to. We appreciate all feedback which I have passed on to our team, and your understanding during this time where our products are limited. Thank you for choosing to travel with us, and we hope that you enjoyed the remainder of your holiday. Safe Travels, The DUT Team
