Departure Time

9:00 AM
Begin your 8-hour tour with a pickup from your Dubai hotel. Hop inside your air-conditioned minivan and set off to explore the city’s must-see landmarks.

As you travel, hear from your guide how Dubai began life as a humble fishing village before a 20th-century oil boom saw it grow into one of the world’s most dynamic cities.

Explore its roots with a visit to Al Bastakiya, the city’s oldest quarter. See the mud-built wind towers along the narrow lanes, and then chart more of Dubai’s history at the Dubai Museum, housed inside the 18th-century Al Fahidi fort. Stroll around the historical artifacts and trace the city’s lightning-speed development through the interesting scale models, photos and multimedia displays.

Having explored here, take a scenic abra ride across Dubai Creek to Deira’s souks. Absorb the exotic aromas and colors of the Spice Souk and then dive into the Gold Souk, a maze of glittering gold, silver and jewelry outlets.

If you wish, buy a souvenir from the souk (own expense), and then continue to Jumeirah Mosque, one of Dubai’s must-sees. Admire the gleaming domes and minarets of this magnificent modern mosque, and learn how its design echoes the medieval Fatimid style.

Stop for photos of the sail-shaped Burj Al-Arab hotel, and make your way into Dubai Mall to head up the Burj Khalifa, the world’s highest tower.

Ride a high-speed elevator to the ‘At the Top’ observatory on the 124th floor, and marvel at the incredible, bird’s-eye views. Walk around the full-height glass walls to fully appreciate the panoramas before descending back to ground level.

Your tour then concludes with a drop off in Emirates Mall.

Extraordinary experience with a wonderful view on the whole city, with superb architecture and well organized visit
Uncomfortable van ride, not too exciting tour
, Jul 2021
The van was extremely uncomfortable due to the ac not working properly in the desert heat. It is basically city driving with few stops where you are let go under the hot sun to explore on your own. A live commentary would have been better, rather than using a recorded one with an equally uncomfortable earpiece. Bottom line - did not enjoy the tour.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. Spacious bus turned out to be cramped van. No guide to speak of. Was nothing more than a miserable van ride.

Not what I paid For
, Feb 2020
For the most part, this was an ok tour or what it was. My biggest complaint is that I booked and paid for a small group tour of no more than 15 people, and I was put on a huge bus totally full of maybe 60 people. This meant that everything took forever as there were so many people. Additionally, we wasted over an hour at the Islamic Art Center listening to a sales pitch, so everything was rush rush rush all day. Lastly, we took the monorail over to Palm Jumeirah where the Atlantis Hotel is, and all we did was get there and then get picked up by the bus. We didn’t even have an opportunity to walk down the street and take photos of the hotel. Perhaps if I had been on the tour I booked and paid for, we might have had time. I think the monorail ride was for the experience, but that time could have been better spent someplace else if all we were going to do was ride it and get back on the bus. I do not fault the tour guide- he was nice, knowledgeable (mostly we listened to the audio on the bus) and he did his best to corral everyone and get them moving so we could get to the next site, but this was not the kind of tour I wanted to take, and I felt rushed all day long.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day, touring around in a comfortable air conditioned coach. The only real issue was timings. We were given an hour and a half to get up the Burj Khalifa and have lunch which was just not adequate. It must have taken about 50 minutes in the queue before we got to the viewing area on the 124th floor. We thought it would be quite quick to get down again but unfortunately, as you have to use the same lifts, it took almost as long. This left us with no time for lunch as our guide said he would have to leave without us if we were not back to the meeting point in time. (more people joined us for the afternoon part of this tour). Some of the stops were too long for taking photos and the visit to a carpet/wall hanging shop was unnecessary. We also had ages in a sweet/spice shop when most of us wanted to spend more time in the gold souk! We were also surprised not to go into the mosque or to be taken back to our hotel as the information on the Viator site suggested that those features were included. Nevertheless we enjoyed our day but it could have been even better.

This tour was great, lots of different things to see and of course the Burj is the highlight even for those who don’t like heights you can’t even feel the lift. The only thing I would say is if you struggle with the heat the Souks are very hot to walk around and saw a few people faint..

We enjoyed seeing things in Dubai in a day, but the tour started by picking us up late due to traffic, which prevented us from going into the mosque and several other visits being rushed. When questioned about the lateness, the guide got defensive and asked if the traffic was his fault. If you only have a day and want to get a glimpse of some of the more popular things to see in Dubai, this is for you. It's not a leisure pace and much depends on your 'tourmates' being back to the bus on time.
