The rating is slightly depressed because of the weather playing a bit of a spoil sport. The Castle tour was good and informative. However, the Bay was beset with strong winds with intermittent rains.

The guided tour at Malahide Castle was excellent. The guide was knowledgeable, articulate, entertaining, and accepting of questions from the group. My only complaint would be that there was not a lot of guidance as to where to go with our free time (and included ticket!) to explore the gardens/lawns of Malahide Castle. Our group likely spent too much time wandering the lawn not understanding the significance of the trees/plants in that area when we would've rather been in the rose garden. The price was great, the timing was great, and the views were phenomenal. Our bus driver was constantly cracking jokes and providing insight into historical and current aspects of all of our stops (and all locations in between). I learned more on this trip than I did any of the other activities we did in Ireland, and it was only a half-day!
