Departure Time

8:00 AM
Get the most out of your time on the southern Dalmatian Coast by booking this full-day trip to see the highlights of the neighboring country, Bosnia and Herzegovina. After getting picked up at your hotel and meeting your guide, enjoy the trip north of the city, passing through rustic seaside villages until you get to the border (don’t forget your passport!).

Then carry on inland, stopping in Počitelj, a UNESCO-listed town. Take a stroll around town, and learn about its history as you stop to admire the historical structures of Haji-Ali Mosque and Sahat-kula, a silo-shaped fort on top of the hill above the town.

Drink in the views of the Bosnian countryside as the air-conditioned coach snakes its way toward Medjugorje. Once in the town, hop off the bus for a closer look at this spiritually important town. It all started in 1981 when six children claimed they’d been visited by the Virgin Mary. And ever since then, Medjugorje has been an important stop on the Catholic pilgrimage trail. Take some free time here to explore the town and even attend a church service, if you wish.

Then journey on to Mostar, a historical and culturally significant Balkan town, most known for its jaw-dropping beautiful bridge, connecting the Muslim to the Catholic sides of town. Stroll the streets of the town and take some time to witnesses the daredevils diving off of the bridge.

Head back to Dubrovnik and continue enjoying the views of the countryside until you’re dropped back off at your hotel.

It was fun except that Bosnian tour guide!

I love this trip except the Bosnian tour guide we had in Mostar. The supposed “story” telling should take 1 hr only, and yet he kept on going even after an hr and got pissed when we’re taking pictures and went for a lunch. 🙄 He wants us to keep following him even if he’s taking us to a crowd were you can hear people coughing and not wearing masks.

Our guide was professional. We're lucky with her. My 11 months old boy was also happy and reluxed in the couch.

Beautiful Day trip from Dubrovnik

Our tour guide/driver was amazing. She was professional and very knowledgeable answering all of questions. We visited Medjugorje on a Sunday and mass was being said outdoors. The parishioners were inspiring. We continued on to Mostar where we met with the guide and learned the history of the war in 1993. Mostar was just what I expected and more. Definitely need to revisit.

A cannot miss tour

It was an unexpectedly beautiful experience the drive from Dubrovnik was breathtaking the Adriatic coast is undescribable Bosnia and Herzegovina is very different from anything I would have expected the people were beautiful and kind the food it was delicious there was so much to see it's a must do I recommend this trip. Our driver and guide Ivan was phenomenal he is so smart it's hard to believe he has all these facts in his head he described and shared a lot of history for both countries this pleasant lyrical voice encouraged listening and learning he was extremely kind opening our doors expressing concern for each individual he answered our questions with patience and humour. My one complaint is that the operators squeezed too many people into the minivan I was stuck in a backseat between to strangers it was the most uncomfortable experience I had to keep squeezing my shoulders in and Crossing my arms are keeping them on my lap imagine doing that for 5 or 6 hours I'm really upset about that but otherwise it was an enjoyable trip and I highly recommend it if you were thinking of going you will not be disappointed

Worth it for Mostar

Very convenient way to get across the border and have a quick glimpse into Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main highlight was Mostar and to learn the history there. On a side note our tour guide was good but, arrived late for pick up which made it very stressful for people. There was no communication about what was going on for the late pickup.

Andrew the driver was professional, friendly and very caring. Just FYI, the trip doesn’t include Apparition Hill, but Andrew helped me arrange a cab there at my own expense. The tour of Mostar was really interesting to learn more about the war.

Fun day in Bosnia

Guide was very nice. Picked us up at 640 from pile gate and drive to the three stops. Made a stop an hour in for coffee and bathroom break. Only needed our vaccine cards and passports. Wish the tour had more history, but overall great trip and glad we did it

Local tour provider was sad
Vitarose_L

Viator was great, local tour provider was not. They dropped us off at the church at Medjugorje for 90 minutes with no information. No tour was provided. It was just transportation. The night before the tour I finally got my pick up time of 6:40am as a message at 10:55pm. Ridiculous for important information to come so very late especially when it was such an early pick up. Viator and I had been trying to contact local provider all day long. Mostar part was okay. First time I’ve been dissatisfied booking with Viator.
