Wonderful tour! Super recommended

The one thing I liked about the guides in the tour is that they were mindful that walks to get to the main areas could be long for some people (for example my mother) and they offered and arranged taxis for them with very kind attitude despite the heat during our tour day. It’s a long tour but that little thing made it easier for my mom to endure the day and allowed me to enjoy the tour and the wonderful places we visited.

Good option to see Tuscany in one day
Clint_D
, Jun 2022
A good option if you’re wanting to see the Tuscany region in one day. Yes it’s a big group, yes the stops are brief (1-2hrs each), but you do get to see everything on the surface. If you’re wanting to walk through museums and cathedrals at every stop, then it’ll be too rushed. There was a lot of walking but nothing too hectic (our two kids under 10 managed). If you’re wanting a true Chianti winery experience I’d book a separate tour. This tour offers wine tasting with lunch but it’s while you eat, in the large group and very basic. To taste the Prosecco you could choose a glass from the “dry” table or the “sweet” table. Brief descriptions were given with the white and reds. Lunch was done in bulk - both in regards to being seated at long packed tables, and the meal itself. Everyone was served the same thing. It was average but also to be expected on a tight time frame and with 70 people on the tour. The day was organized and managed well given the big group, and guides were friendly, informative and on schedule. So in the scheme of large group day tours, it was a good one and as expected.

Sweating in Tuscany

, Jun 2022
Places visited are great. My only negative was the bus temperature, in a double decker bus with 70 plus people temperature inside was 29-31, mind you this is in the summer.I wish the bus would have better climate control and the vents actually worked. The tour guide and the bus driver were great.

A long trip but worth it. Visiting Siena when they’re preparing for il pallio was the highlight for me. San Gimignano is a beautiful city. The meal and wine were good.

Not worth it
Yuderky_G
, Jun 2022
This tour was just ok. To be fair, I’m not a “tour” person. It felt rushed and we didn’t have a time to see some of the main attractions mostly because we didn’t realize that we needed to get tickets ahead of time to get into these places (ie. Leaning tower of ipisa, duomo in San gimignano). It would’ve been nice for aviator to provide this info. The tour guides were ok, they work very hard but I didn’t find them very friendly. All in all, it was a very long, tiresome day which didn’t feel worthwhile.

Elizabeth the Tour Guide did an excellent job explaining the various areas we were visiting. She also did a great job keeping everyone on time so we could get the most out of each stop. I highly recommend the tour to anyone staying in Florence! Boris the bus driver was also the low key hero getting us to where we needed to go.

We loved Sienna and San Gimignano and would have liked more time in those towns and skipped Pisa. The wine tasting and lunch was very good in a beautiful setting, but seemed a little rushed.

Worth the money!!
Toby_T
, Jun 2022
We traveled in June, 2022. The tour is worth the money and we really enjoyed our day. Pisa, Siena, and San Gimignano are similar in certain aspects, but all very unique. We very much enjoyed the tours and getting to know more about the history and culture in these towns. Tuscany is beautiful and the drive was a great way to see the amazing countryside. The bus was very comfortable and air conditioned - we had no problems. The lunch at the Winery was also great fun. The facility was more modern than expected, but the food and tasty and the wine tastings were very good. We bought a couple of bottles of wine and enjoyed them throughout the rest of our vacation. Our tour guide was Elisabetta. She was amazing! She has great knowledge, humor and kept the tour on schedule.

Know before you go
Nancy_B

Thought we signed up for small group van tour. Big bus, quite crowded. Tour guides were good but bus had to park quite far from entrances. Clocked about 15,000 steps so don’t go if you can’t walk a lot on uneven surfaces. Vineyard lunch wasn’t good at all but understandably due to size of groups. I have done a small group van Viator tour that was great. This was a pretty bad experience and family with me on the tour might never forgive me!
