Departure Time

6:30 AM
Start the day with an early morning pickup from your Jackson Hole hotel. You’ll drive for two hours in an air conditioned coach as you travel from Jackson to Yellowstone, admiring the sweeping, mountainous views of Grand Teton National Park. Upon entering Yellowstone National Park, you’ll visit the Lower Loop’s main attractions — including Old Faithful geyser. Gaze in wonder at Lewis Canyon as well as Lewis Lake.

You’ll next be transported towards Firehole River, which is home to the multi-hued, endlessly fascinating, colorful Fountain Paint Pot. Comprised of yellows, browns, and reds that are caused by iron in the mud, the Fountain Paint Pot, as your guide will explain, is one of Yellowstone’s naturally occurring geologic wonders.

Next, drive through the steam filled Geyser Basin towards the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone — a 20-mile (32-km) cleft in the earth that’s home to Yellowstone Falls. Watch as the water flows peacefully through the canyon before plunging over the falls, which is not only one of America’s tallest, but also one of its most famous.

Continue the drive through the rolling grasslands of bison filled Hayden Valley, where in addition to herds of powerful bison exploring the open terrain, there’s even the chance you could spot a wolf as it prowls the windswept grass.

Finally, your Yellowstone tour from Jackson Hole concludes at the Lake Hotel — a historic spot with a view gazing out over massive Yellowstone Lake. On the comfortable drive back to Jackson Hole, you can scroll through your camera and relive the beauty of America’s first national park, or stare out the window as the sun sinks low over Grand Teton National Park.

Our driver Jesse O was the bomb! He was friendly, helpful and super knowledgeable!!! Great to do if you want an overview of Yellowstone and also if you‘re short on time. Thought it a bit pricey at first, but realized it was worth every penny😎

Awesome Highlights and Guide!

We had an amazing time! Jesse did a great job giving us a highlight tour of Yellowstone in one day. He even helped us to see one thing that was not on the list. The listing is a little misleading on here. You do have to pay your own admission to the National Parks, so you are far better off buying the America’s pass for $80 than paying $20 for each adult. He will help you do this at the gate of the Tetons. Times listed here are also not accurate but it was an 11 hour tour and we saw everything we wanted to see and got some amazing history information about it all from Jesse. He was awesome! Highly recommend!

Our driver was Mike and he was extremely knowledgeable of the Park. Somehow he arranged several animal sittings on our trip. We ended the with a large road crossing of bisons.

With Jessie as our guide, we enjoyed a glorious day in Yellowstone. Our minds, hearts and spirits were fed history, perspective , science, joy. Through Jessie’s stories and factual knowledge of all things Yellowstone, we ended our day with not only an appreciation for the park, but more importantly, a respect for what came before and what is to come at Yellowstone. The beauty is amazing ! Treat yourself to a day you will remember forever!

Yellowstone Day Tour

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Yellowstone NP. David, our guide and bus driver, was most excellent. Very personable, friendly, knowledgeable and considerate of his guests. The bus was more of a large van ( about 25 seat capacity) that was comfortable but had no drink holders or overhead storage. David was very considerate of bathroom breaks and made all the stops and more that one would expect to see in Yellowstone on the Lower Loop route. The trip from Jackson took about twelve hours so it is a long day but WELL WORTH the trip. Again kudos to David for making the trip so enjoyable.
