This was an amazing tour. Thomas was great!! Good shoes (with grips and that can get wet) are a must!! The hike isn’t hard, but the rocks are slippery & uneven. We went through water up to mid-thigh. Be careful, but so worth it!!

The tour guide was great, knowledgeable and very helpful with information about other activities, places to eat and things to do. The early morning kayak seemed like the better choice, it was just our group and one other at the falls by the time we were heading out the place was very crowed. Our guide gave pointers to those who needed it on how to kayak and pointed out trees and flower along the way as well as told us some of the history of area.

Worth the trip!

Kayak Zack was awesome in every way, from prepping us for the kayaks to coaching us as we made our way down the river. His vast knowledge and dad-jokes kept us entertained throughout the whole hike. The hike was very easy going with some great views and fun endeavors; however it is quite slippery so falling is quite possible. But who doesn’t like a free mud bath? We definitely recommend this fun experience to see this secret waterfall, and try to get it with Zack to have a guaranteed great time.
Amazing waterfall!

The kayaking part was really fun, smooth waters and taught me a lot about my questionable steering abilities. The hike was beautiful and offered a variety of different sceneries. Waterfall was amazing, would highly recommend getting into the water to feel the full power of it. Pro tip: If you plan on going behind the waterfall, bring with you a set of goggles if you want to see anything (think fire hose to the face). Would recommend highly! Zack was a great guide too!
Beautiful kayak and hike

Wonderful trip through the gorgeous Kauai forest, and a cool and relaxing kayak voyage along the Waimea river. Loved it.
Wet and muddy but fun

What an adventure!!!! Kayaking and hiking to a remote site that is beautiful. The tour operators were well organized and Allen was amazing with his knowledge of plants during the hike.

Met and exceeded our expectations! Maverick our tour guide was amazing! He knew everyone’s names instantly, made sure to get to know each member of the tour, and shared much Hawaiian knowledge! Would highly recommend this excursion!
Harder than I thought

The tour was more physical than expected. Our guide Allan went above and beyond. I had no idea I had hip problem but found out sitting in the kayak. Allan helped us out by towing us. The 1 mile in was only hard because of my hips. The water fall was a bit of a disappointment though. Allan again helped us back. I felt useless. He deserved the $50.00 tip. Next time I’ll read the explanation of what we were doing.

Not so secret falls - go early!
, Nov 2021
Our guide, Thomas, was very knowledgeable about Kauai’s flora and history, and had a good sense of humor. The river was lovely to kayak, the hike was fun through the forest and the falls were spectacular. If you are a morning person, I highly recommend going as early as possible to beat the crowds!
