Treat yourself and your special someone to a memorable night of gourmet island cuisine and a luau extravaganza. Depending on the transport option selected, you’ll either be picked up at your hotel or make your own way to the historic Kilohana Plantation, where you’ll be greeted with a flower lei and glass of sparkling wine. Settle in among the elegant surroundings at Gaylord’s Restaurant and enjoy a four-course meal of fresh Hawaiian fare. (See Itinerary below for a sample menu.)

After dinner, you’ll have time to wander the historic plantation home, which has been lovingly repurposed as a boutique shopping and dining destination. Lies, lies, lies and more lies. False promises!!
, Sep 2021
I cancelled the Luau Kalamaku with Plantation Owner's and Champagne Reception about 2 weeks after I signed up for it but the person I called to cancel said I would get the cancellation number sent to my e-mail the same day but never did. I kept calling but never got any cancellation number sent to me & put on hold severals times for hrs. I never went to your Luau. I kept calling but never got anywhere but on hold or hung up on. The people I spoke to were hard to understand and was told by them they were Asian. I was told when I bought this Luau that I would get fully refunded because I cancelled so soon. I did not go to the Luau & could not get anyone on the phone or receive any E-mail sent to me which I gave them so they would send me cancellation number. Please refund me because I did not go to the Luau & cancelled the Luau early & was told I would not be billed until I went to the Luau but found out you took the money way before the Luau. I will not recommend this to anyone & would like to have this refunded to me if it has not already been refunded. Communication was very, very bad. I was falsely promised & ignored.

We are responding from Luau Kalamaku and are very sorry to hear about your frustration. You most likely spoke directly to TripAdvisor/Viator to cancel your booking. Please reach out to Viator once again to initiate your refund as they have collected your initial payment. Mahalo!
What a Surprise!!
, Sep 2021
We had no idea we were not doing the Laua Dinner (buffet style) but doing a four course dinner at the Gaylord, then the Laua show. The Dinner was absolutely wonderful and all the Staff at the Gaylord were exceptional! I would highly recommend this for anyone.

Dinner was good and we enjoyed the show as we were very close to the stage unfortunately warm beer for our drinks was terrible.

Plantation Onwers Option

The meal and drinks at Gaylords were absolutely great and the server was very professional and friendly. The luau show was spectacular very colorful and well produced. The cocktails in the luau arena were so so. We opted with the plantation owners option and our seats were in front of the stage. Overall very fun experience.

Great Evening
, Feb 2020
A lot of reviews seemed to be really critical of the process. However my wife and I were very impressed. We had a great server and bus staff that were impressively professional, fun to interact with and provided a memorable dinner service. The meal was tasty and in four courses. Each course has two options so my wife and I ordered each and we were able to try everything. We were seated promptly at 1710 for dinner, and at 1905 on the dot as promised we were escorted by an actor and torch to the lauau. They gave us great seats tight to the stage. They also let us know bar was unlimited until 1930 so we had 30 minutes (pro tip: they only serve one person one drink per trip, so load up between 1900 and 1930). The presentation was right around an hour and was full of dancing, singing, and an impressive fire dance. Parking is escorted and they do this a couple times a week and it is all dialed in. If you're a quieter person and not as excited about buffet lines and big crowds the plantation dinner is a nice upgrade. Perhaps the other reviewers had an off night, but we honestly thought it was effortless. We did arrive an hour early and the shops do not tske very i woild recommend arriving 1615-1630.

I was very impressed with the dinner and show. I would recommend this to anyone. I've been to Luaus before. There is no comparison.

Great atmosphere, service and experience as long as you don't eat their food!

We walked in to Gaylord's and were very impressed with the atmosphere of the outdoor seating. The service was great. We only had two options for each course of the meal. My husband took one bite of each and couldn't finish. I ate the greens that were the garnishments is all. We had the spare ribs and they were so burnt, dry and impossible to chew, it was like eating a toothpick. Skip paying extra for the meal and just attend the luau, which was fantastic! We really enjoyed the show.

Great show, not so great meal
, Sep 2019
We loved the luau. The dancers were well choreographed and a great experience. However, the food was not great at all. We did the plantation dinner and the only good part was my drink and the crab cake. The spare ribs were tough, dry, and fatty. The salad was drowned in dressing to the point it was not edible. My husband's fish was overcooked. The service was just as bad, if not worse, than the food. Do the buffet as that has to be better if you come to Kalamaku.
