Discover the wealth of architectural and historical highlights of the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur during this 3.5-hour sightseeing trip by air-conditioned coach. If you’re looking for an introduction to the many highlights of Kuala Lumpur, including its famous Petronas Towers, this is a great place to start.

Begin your day with hotel pickup around 8:45am, with some pickups starting before this time. The local service provider will verify your exact schedule when your booking is reconfirmed. Over the course of your ride aboard this coach bus, you’ll get a sense for the unique blend of historic colonial architecture and sleek 21st-century skyscrapers that give this Southeast Asian metropolis its one-of-a-kind charm.

Make your first stop at the world-famous Petronas Towers, certified among the tallest buildings in the world. Take a few photos of these remarkable structures, admiring their sleek, spaceship-like exterior. The Towers’ modern design serves as a marked contrast to the historic Indo-Moorish architecture that once characterized this city’s colonial period.

Head next to the Kuala Lumpur Craft Centre, where you can explore exhibits on Malaysian handicrafts and shop for items like batik (dyed cloth), intricately-carved pottery, rattan (a type of palm) using traditional motifs and a variety of baskets. You’ll also visit the Cocoa Boutique, featuring highlights from Malaysia’s rapidly growing cocoa industry, where you can shop for delicious chocolate gifts like chili chocolates, fruit-flavored chocolates and a variety of milk and dark chocolate treats.

Continue your excursion at the King’s Palace (Istana Negra), a sprawling complex where you can check out the intricately-designed metalwork of the compound’s gates, which display the insignia of Yang di-Pertuan Agong, a former Malaysian monarch.

Proceed next to the National Monument, a sculpture celebrating the country’s fight for independence from the British government during the mid-20th century. Your coach will then drive you to the National Museum, where you can wander among the exhibits on Kuala Lumpur’s history, arts, economy and culture set inside a beautiful building that blends both modern design and traditional Malaysian techniques. The Lake Gardens within the Museum complex also offer an intriguing look at Kuala Lumpur’s plant and animal life.

Continue to the National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara), which many consider a symbol of the country’s aspirations during the heady period following independence in the 1960s. Make your last stop of the day at the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the location of Malaysia’s Ministry of Information Communications and Culture. Following this last stop you’ll receive a drop-off back at your Kuala Lumpur hotel.

OK, I admit that the rating is mostly because our guide. Unfortunately I forgot his name, and older Indian man - the only guide who was dressed in shirt and wore ties. I booked a few tours here for my trip, but I'm sure he was the best guide I had during my trip. He knew everything about the city and the sights, and was willing to share it. He was also open for private conversation during the stops. This tour covers a lot of KL, so it is a good way to get to know the city. Because of the distances, there is a lot of riding during the stops. There is still enough time at every stop to enjoy the sight.

We had a lovely guide and saw some interesting things that you wouldnt normally drag yourself around in the heat for. Having said that it was pretty boring. On the coach, stop at destination for 5min photo op. Back on the coach to next stop. And so on. Really not worth it.

The tour was dreadful. Not only do we have to pay extra for pickup services but the tour itself wasted our time by making us wait for too long at our hotel and at the place where we were dispatched to wait for the smelly coach. I hated the journey

The tour was very informative and we enjoyed it. As with any tour they take you to local businesses in hopes for tourists to buy chocolate, silk, etc. That wasn't bad because it took us to little areas we normally would not have seen. It was authentic. The Twin Tower stop was five minutes, so plan going there on your own. That is the best part of the city. Hotel pick up and drop off was easy and we enjoyed the tour.

Although there was a bit of a communication breakdown which led to us being picked up late from our hotel to the tour, the tour itself was very informative and amazing and led us to taking up an additional tour the next day. The tour guides r very informative and polite, the tour buses are very comfortable and reliable. We loved it.
