At 709 meters above sea level, the cable car ride up to Langkawi's second highest peak is truly an experience not to be missed. Throughout the 20 minutes ride, you will pass over jungle waterfalls and a thick carpet of virgin rainforest. On a clear day, you can see parts of Thailand towards the north and Indonesia towards the south-west. Travelling at a steep incline of 42 degrees over a distance of 2.2 kilometers from the base station to the two mountain-top stations, even the gentlest breeze is enough to send one's stomach churning. But once you get used to the sensation of being airborne, the ride quickly turns into an amazing, exhilarating experience.

What a Rip Off - Never Book on Viator

The same thing was 120 MYR if booked directly. Viator charged us 678 MYR for 3 folks. On top of it they charged 150 MYR for hotel drop and pick up. 5 times the cost is obnoxious. I will never ever buy stuff on Viator. ——— Don’t Buy On Viator —————-

My mother and I were picked up from our hotel by our friendly tour guide and taken to the Cable Car/Oriental village in the comfort of an air conditioned vehicle. The tour guide was friendly and helpful-providing us with some interesting information about the history and culture of Langkawi along the way. We did get a bit lost when meeting him at the end of the tour which was our fault as we went to the wrong carpark, but he came and found us. He also made recommendations for other activities for us to do in Langkawi and even drove us to Langkawi Geopark where we did a river cruise-and arranged for a taxi to take us back to our hotel afterwards. The panoramic views from the cable car are breathtaking-this and the oriental village are both must sees if you go to Langkawi. There are several quaint little souvenir shops and eating places in the Oriental Village. Its a great half day tour and I would highly recommend it.

the tour was very good and we really enjoyed, specially the cable car and the 3d paint art museum my comment that the wjhole tour was terribly expensive i paid for me, wife and two kids about 730 ringit, while the ticket was 55 ringit for the adult, 43 for the kid which makes about 200 ringit, 530 ringit difference just for picking and dropping off the hotel is really too much

this is a rip off, would be better off getting your own taxi and paying for cable car yourself. The driver was not helpful, and provided no information, plus the oriental village is just a bunch of tourist shops selling tat.

The ride itself was amazing, and we were lucky to have timed it so that we rose through the early morning mist into brilliant sunshine at the top. However, our hotel the Berjaya, was only 10 minutes walk away from the cable car, so hotel pick up was not worth paying for.

The cable car ride is excellent ! The flying bridge experience is excellent too except the temporary access to the bridge which is unsafe and inappropriate ! Again in general over priced compare to actual cost that it would cost you if you do it yourself?
