Great way to start your visit
, Dec 2021
This was a great way to start our trip to Vegas. We love to learn the history of a place when we visit. Richard knows the history and his happy to share that with his guests. I enjoyed my time on Fremont street much more since taking this tour. Check it out!

Just ok…. Consider exploring Fremont street on your own unless you’re a major history buff. Definitely a neat place but mob history and personal experiences of the tour guide weren’t of interest to me.

So sorry your experience wasn't the best. As I state at the start of every tour "I can do an eight hour walking tour down here. Just let me know what you are interested in and I'll be happy to adjust it for you."
Fantastic walking tour with Richard - so much history explained

Great history of Las Vegas. Richard was great. Even continued with the tour, with just me. Which I really appreciated. As we walked around Richard explained the history of all of the casinos / hotels and how Vegas came to be which was really fascinating. Highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide Richard was very nice and knowledgeable. Just think it could have been a little shorter. Some of the areas we stopped were a little scary with street people.

Great overview of Las Vegas

Loved the history overview of how Las Vegas was created. Very interesting tour from Richard ( Las Vegas Historian). Story starts around 1905 and highlights include when gambling became legal (1931) to El Cortez hotel (1941) owned by mob owner Bugsy Siegel, Stories of Former Las Vegas mayor ( 2 showgirls and a martini glass ). Steve Wynn’s early creations - Golden Nugget creation and seeing an actual golden nugget, rat pack stories and all things old Las Vegas!

History comes alive

Richard, the tour guide, was a walking encyclopedia on History about Vegas. He answered all our questions and was patient as we were 4 seniors. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about early Vegas. We were glad we chose this tour.
