Experience the Tower of London’s long and stormy history. Make your own way to the Tower and enjoy priority entry through the group entrance. Once inside, explore independently, take an audio tour (additional fee) or join a 1-hour guided tour led by a Yeoman Warder or ‘Beefeater.’ Yeoman-led tours depart every 30 minutes from the Tower entrance. Learn the Tower’s origin story of 1066 and how it evolved from William the Conquerer's stronghold to a royal palace, armory, royal mint, prison and gruesome execution place.

Pass under the famous ravens that perch near Wakefield Tower and lose yourself in myth and history as you visit the White Tower and its Royal Armories collection, the Bloody Tower and Traitors’ Gate. Hear the tale of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's unfortunate second wife, who passed through Traitors’ Gate in 1536 and was quickly tried for adultery and executed. Walk to Tower Gate, the execution site where Boleyn and many others met their fateful ends.

Despite its chilling reputation, the Tower of London has also been the cradle for the British Crown Jewels since the 14th century. Get a close-up look at this remarkable regalia, the ultimate symbol of the British monarchy and the centerpiece of coronations since 1661. Don’t miss the famous 105.6-carat Koh-i-Noor diamond.

After you've visited the major sites, stroll along the Wall Walk and head into the Medieval Palace to admire the beautifully reconstructed spaces. Take your time soaking up this cornerstone of English history.

To see even more, consider upgrading to the flexible and convenient Royal Palaces Pass. Valid for two years from purchase, this pass offers priority entry to the Tower of London, Hampton Court and Kensington Palace. Explore some of England’s grandest landmarks at your leisure.

Unfair charge for limited service in the tower

Well, I was very disappointed to have paid full normal price yet had to endure restrictions due to covid! Was unable to see the jewels due to the que being almost two hours long, although I understand about the restrictions, I believe I should be entitled to a refund or free access to the tower once all restrictions have been lifted, or at least until the Beefeaters are able to give the guided tours!!!! I will be sending a complaint directly to the tower!!!

A Great Afyernoon at The Tower

The added bonus was it wasn’t too busy but the drawback there was no guided beefeater tour. There was lots of help from staff in hand to give us the history especially I. The Crown Jewels. I did remember seeing so much more in the past but always love coming to the Tower

Don’t use Viator. Send you to somewhere that doesn’t exist for tickets. Also 2 of my party couldn’t go because of Covid

Great in the tower. The yeoman were very nice and helpful was a good time to visit. I actually had a wonderful day... except the paperwork from you told me to go to st, kathrines dock for tickets. Load of hassle . Paperwork was sufficient.

Due to Covid restrictions our trip had to be Cancelled - This company said it was down to The Tower if we could postpone but the Tower said it's down to them - so completely unhelpful and as it stands I lost £100.

Seeing History Through the Rain
CAROLYN_C
, Oct 2020
It was worth going because it is place that , in spite of living in London and being interested in history I have never visited before mainly because of the long queues. Thanks to the rain and the corona virus there definitely weren't any queues and if it hadn't been for the rain it would have been a lovely day. I didn't get a Beefeater tour because there was a notice saying they were cancelled but navigated my way around using the audio tour that I purchased for £5. It was actually very good and provided a lot on interesting information. In spite of the rain I got to walk in the places I have read about in books and obviously the indoor displays like the crown jewels and armouries weren't affected by the downpour. I would definitely go again maybe next time lots of sun and no queues!

Really enjoyed spending time exploring an amazing place. Would have been enhanced by a guided tour but fully understand the reasons why it is not possible at the moment
