Amazing experience

The tour was great. The cities were enchanting, a definite recommend. Maged and Juan Carlos were fabulous tour guides. They were patient and very knowledgeable, they made the tour fun. Can't forget about our bus driver Juan who safely took us to all 3 beautiful cities. Thank you for giving us a memorable day in Segovia, Ávila and Toledo.

Each city was great and the guide Majed was very knowledgeable and considerate of our. We had enough time for each place to highlight the best things in each one. The mini bus and driver was great with a clean , cool, comfortable and safe travel, temperature was 100F. We also saw the country side and got an idea of the rural area of Spain. Highly recommend. Segovia and Toledo was nice but Avila was disappointed because we didn't do anything except stopping by St. Teresa's birth place.

Don't use Viator tours in English in Spain
Sra_M
, Jun 2022
I have used Viator in Italy, France & Spain. The quality of the tours in English in Spain is inferior. We were 24 adults in a bus for students. My companion had to bent down, so he wouldn't hit his head. I saw 4 peasants bumping there head while sitting. I'm only 5'6" and my knees were press against the seat in front of me. The a/c nor the microphone were working 100%.

Good Tour

The tour was good. The van was small and wasn't really comfortable. There were about 12 people and most didn't wear masks while inside the van which I found a little concerning.

WORST TOUR EVER
Gloria_M
, May 2022
First and foremost, this was by far the absolute WORST TOUR EVER! I would NOT recommend this tour but more importantly, this tour guide-Juan Carlos from Our Madrid Company. Juan Carlos was extremely unprofessional and rude to my entire party of 7 travelers. I have been a long-standing and loyal member of Viator, utilizing all Viator services from tours to transportation. Unfortunately, I am seriously considering deactivating and separating from Viator. 1. To begin, Juan Carlos humiliated my family publicly on the tour bus by reprimanding us for being late, stating that we needed to be "respectful of other people". This incited some awful people to "boo" us and my elderly mother, who uses a walker with wheels for assistance. Where was the respect for us? Why couldn't this tour guide have a little compassion and reprimand us instead in private. This tour guide was completely out of line and his demeanor and actions were reprehensible and disgusting! At one point, my group apologized to the other members of the tour, but some of those members hissed and boo'd at us telling us how disrespectful we were of their time...this behavior was a clear result of the public rebuking spearheaded and allowed by Juan Carlos. Quite frankly, I have never been so humiliated in all my life....I was utterly disgusted and embarrassed for my group of 7 (some of whom this was their first time visiting Spain)...we were not a small group; we were practically 1/3 of the entire group. 2. Second, Juan Carlos never gave ample time to everyone to have some free time in each city to explore a bit and have some time for shopping. He kept taking us to "look out" points to take pictures and then would run us through the city with short historical stories but nothing more. At one point, we had traveled 2.5 hours and 2 cities but had seen nothing more than a cathedral and 2 look out points. 3. Third, it is noted in my travel preferences and I had specifically chosen English as the language preference for the tour yet he spoke primarily in Spanish followed by English. I have been on many tours around the world and when English is the preferred or designated language for a tour, the tour guide ALWAYS leads with English followed by other languages of people on the tour. 4. Fourth, Juan Carlos's lack of self awareness regarding offering travelers time to use the bathroom, knowledge of lack of tissue paper in the bathroom stalls (yes, I understand that this seems insignificant, but great guides make their travelers aware of EVERYTHING), and lack of awareness of his group were all very unprofessional. What I mean by his lack of awareness of his group...I noted that he never bothered to make sure if everyone was back on the bus after getting off for tours or pictures. He only counted once toward the end. Of all the tours I have been on, and I have traveled extensively around the world (my record on Viator alone should speak for itself), the one thing guides always do is account for all passengers. He simply DID NOT care! This was the most disappointing tour, tour guide, and a huge waste of money. Do NOT take this tour!

Good overall, but ...
Donna_C

Overall, the tour was good, but obviously it was a long day. We went to Toledo first, then Avila (where we had lunch), and last, Segovia. Bring water because it isn't provided. Juan Carlos, our tour guide, was nice and informative. The Toledo and Avila touring was organized better than Segovia. In Segovia, he brought us to the Plaza Mayor, where he talked about the Cathedral and the Castle. Neither was part of this tour. We had an hour on our own in Segovia where we could tour the cathedral (3 euro per person), the Castle (6 euro per person general admission, or 9 euro per person inuding the tower) or you could just wander. We went to the castle and paid for tower admission. Unfortunately, that is timed entry, and our time was past the time we had to be on the bus.

This was the last day of our stay. Our guide Maget and Juan “the driver” got us through each stop to enjoy history, architecture and breathtaking views. Our guide was really great and made us share a few laughs too which is always a plus! Thanks for the full experience.

Majed was an excellent tour guide. He does has a PhD in history after all so he was able to share his vast knowledge and expertise about the history of Segovia, Avila and Toledo and in general of Spain. He was also funny which made for a memorable experience. Highly recommend !

Very Enjoyable

One of the most enjoyable tours we had on our trip. We were worried 3 cities might be daunting for one day, but it went very smooth and we didn't feel super rushed at any of the sights. It was just the right amount of time. We stopped at a cool restaurant with a view of the Walls for steak and bean soup. It was absolutely delicious and everyone in our group was interesting and great to get to know. Our guide was amazing, very engaging and knowledgable and kept all of us on track:) He pointed out all these little things we didn't know before, and that's one of the reasons we love tours. He stopped a couple times so we could get great photo ops and took some wonderful, special pictures of us. Very enjoyable!
