We had a wonderful time learning about Mérida and a variety of different ingredients in the market place with our guide Pame. Afterwards we were welcomed in doña Durkas' home for a lively, fun cooking class. We learned how to make a variety of typical Yucatan dishes, including empanadas, papadzules, and crema de coco! Delicioso!

My wife and I had a great time on this tour. Kevin was very helpful and able to answer any questions regarding the tour and Mexican life in general. It was great navigating the market but being in a locals home helping them cook was even more interesting. Seeing how the average person lives is a great way to experience life in another culture. I highly recommend this tour
Enjoying an Authentic Yucatecan Experience

Our wonderful guides picked us up exactly on time and took us to a local market within 4 or 5 blocks of the meeting point at the Hotel Caribe. They selected the ingredients for the lunch that we prepared at the home of a lovely local resident. Within an hour of our arrival at her home, we had created a delicious Yucatecan meal. Our guides accompanied us back to the historic centro where we were staying. This experience was all that we had hoped for and more. Highly recommend this cooking class with Pame, Kevin, and our host Lionor. 10 stars!!!!!

Our guide was amazing and the señorita that allowed us into her home to learn how to prepare an authentic dish was as sweet as can be. From going to the market to enjoying the dish... a truly incredible experience. Donn't miss out!

This was an excellent tour and we really enjoyed it thanks to Rudolfo and Laura. We loved both parts - the visit to the market and the cooking experience itself. We did review the tour right after our trip and expected to receive the recipes but they never arrived. We hope to see them soon.
