Annette Was Great!
, Feb 2020
Our tour guide, Annette was amazing. She was VERY knowledgeable and very friendly. She also did an amazing job adjusting to the challenges she was faced with during the tour. Our tour started out great! We met at Tujagues, the second oldest restaurant in New Orleans, as planned and tried their brisket poboy. We learned the history of the restaurant as well as the the story behind the sandwich called a poboy. From there we stopped at a praline shop to try these sweet treats. We then moved on with a short walk to Antoine. It was here that things began to fall apart. When we arrived, our guide was told that we would not be getting in to sample foods, not would we be able to see and learn about the restaurant. We were turned away due to a large party. Annette called the company and then she set about trying to figure out what else we could do. We ended up at Desires and here we tried oysters on the half shell and fried alligator. Since we were an unplanned tour it was a bit confusing to the restaurant, but they adjusted. We also tried another item at a small restaurant next door. Boudin Balls I believe. Annette ordered them from their happy hour menu for us to try. After that we were back on course with a visit to Remoulade’s where we had turtle soup and remoulade. We then ended with a walk through Armauds and one of their formal dining rooms. As we viewed the room, we also learned the history of this restaurant. We ended with a quick walk through a small museum like area with beautiful gowns worn by the daughter of the man who began Armauds. As I stated, Annette did a great job! I am disappointed that we didn’t get to visit the oldest restaurant as stated we would. I am also surprised that this wouldn’t have been known before we arrived at the restaurant. It was awkward, especially for Annette! Thank goodness she was an experienced guide! She is the reason I didn’t give this only 2 stars.

Thank you for taking time to provide us with your feedback. Mardi Gras can be a challenging time with all the festivities on the street and in the restaurants. Annette is outstanding should a surprise arise. We hope you had an enjoyable stay in New Orleans and a fun Mardi Gras experience.

Terrific Tour With Naïf!
, Dec 2019
To explore the hidden wonders, history and excitement of the French Quarter with a fun local was like linking arms with an old friend. With Naïf we not only tasted the key NOLA delights but learned the significance of ethnic spices, ingredients and folklore in hidden courtyards, iconic dining rooms and secret passageways. We never would have gained entry to these places on our own. Hit Muriel’s Gallery for an afterglow drink overlooking Jackson Park — Naif’s great recommendation! Simply magical. Highly recommend!
