Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Take to the New York City skies for a helicopter flight above the landmarks of the Big Apple.

Head to the downtown Manhattan Heliport on Pier 6 for your flight. Your exact takeoff will depend upon the option selected, with morning, midday, afternoon and late afternoon time frames available. Once you’re strapped in to your state-of-the-art Bell 407 helicopter, it’s time to begin your ride.

Glide into the air as the ground recedes below you, watching as some of the city’s most famous parks, buildings and landmarks come into view. Near downtown Manhattan you’ll be able to see Governor’s Island, Ground Zero, the Statue of Liberty and greater New York Harbor. Continue up the edge of the island, admiring the majestic views of skyscrapers along the way, before reaching the USS Intrepid, a World War II-era aircraft carrier that now houses a museum.

Head back down the Hudson River, taking in sweeping views of the city and well-known landmarks like the Chrysler Building, Met Life Building and Empire State Building as you fly. Back down near the city’s harbor you’ll be able to spy historic Ellis Island, once the entry point for millions of immigrants in search of a better life in the United States, along with other New York attractions like Battery Park, the Federal Reserve Bank and the New York Stock Exchange.

Whether you’re a seen-it-all New Yorker or visiting the city for the first time, this aerial ride is a trip to remember.

Please note: The listed price does not include a US $40 per person heliport/security fee, payable at the time of tour check-in.

Amazing, but beware the middle seat
Tina_F
, Jun 2021
Nice big and spacious helicopter. The views were spectacular. The only negative was my sister ended up in a middle seat without a direct window view. She still got good shots, but again have to beware that you pay all this money and may not sit next to a window. Only one person doesn’t sit next to a window. I sat up front with the pilot and I felt like I had the best views. They seat you places based on weight.

Don't fly with this company!
Iselq
, May 2021
They rescheduled this activity on me twice! The first one was the night before the tour and was not able to make it to another activity which was paid for and couldn't get my money back since the cancelations was not done 24 hrs before the activity. They rescheduled my tour once again 2 hrs before my tour!! They charge 40 dollars extra once you get there which they don't tell you when you first get your ticket. Would I book again with Manhattan Sky tour? NEVER!! I can just imagine the repy management is going to write to cover themselves but If you want to do the helicopter ride get another company and save yourself a big headache!

Hello Iselq, We're very sorry to hear about your experience. It's not what we want our guests to experience at all! And for this, please accept our sincerest apologies. Let's tackle the $40 Heliport Fee first. This is disclosed front and center. Under "What to Expect" dropdown on the booking page, this is what it says: "Please note: The listed price does not include a US $40 per person heliport/security fee, payable at the time of tour check-in." This is quoted verbatim, taken from the TripAdvisor/Viator page for our company. We do not hide this fee. In fact, we want all potential guests to take this into consideration. With this disclosure, is this something you still want to do? By clicking and finalizing your booking/order, we will assume you've agreed to this. Now, about being rescheduled. Our Heliport Operations (the many moving parts involved in helicopter tours) take safety first and foremost. If we cannot fly you safely on a given date at a given time, we will contact you to reschedule your Tour. For every Tour we schedule, for every guest we fly, your safety, comfort and enjoyment will be our primary goal. If we can't guarantee this due to the weather, Government/VIP movement at the Downtown Manhattan Heliport, or due to circumstances and events beyond our control, we will reschedule booked Tours. This is done out of an abundance of caution. Thank you.

Don’t book with These guys

They cancelled the flight. They gave me no plausible reason and I am extremely disappointed. The weather was gorgeous. So they made me loose my day.
icon Response from Host , Mar 2021
Hello Valeria, We are very sorry to hear you were disappointed in your Tour being cancelled that day. This is definitely not what we want our customers to experience! As stated on our website, Tours are cancelled for a variety of reasons: weather, visibility, security, restricted airspace, circumstances beyond our control and the like. Our Operations Team evaluates every variable before flight and if they deem it necessary to reschedule, delay or cancel the Tour, they will do so out of an abundance of caution. This ensures that every Tour is a safe and successful flight. In cases where a Tour is cancelled, we will issue a full refund (which was done in your case) with our sincerest apology. At Zip Aviation your safety comes first. Thank you.

Birthday Surprise

Arrived early and so had quite a wait, but the staff were attentive. The day was perfect for flying, and the flight was everything I'd hoped it would be. As I was flying as a solo passenger, I had the opportunity to sit at the front with the pilot. Whilst this was good, it meant I had a slightly restricted view over the instrument panel. Would definitely recommend.
