Lots of good and new information that replaced some of the inaccurate facts that we had before. My tour guide Nicola was very knowledgeable about the history and the facts surrounding the statue and the two Islands. We enjoyed the tour tremendously.

I am 80 years old and use a scooter. I was treated so well by everyone. To get on the ferry the workers were a great help especially at low tide. They got the scooter up the ramp and the men helped me walk up and down the ramps. I was so happy with the way I was treated on this whole trip.

We learned a great deal thanks to a wonderful tour guide. It was very emotional or as my grandchildren say it was "cool."

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but she spoke while walking with her back to group. We barely heard her and, in fact, had someone in tour group yelling back to those in back. She also told us to be back to Ellis Island to NY boat in an hour. Boat left in 50 minutes and we watched as she got on and 10 of us did not make it! I paid for 3 tickets and would have been better if just goggled the info. Only good part was the skip the line! I would really like a refund!

Finally able to visit ...

After visiting NYC for years, on this rainy Sunday, we were finally able to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. There was a consistent light rain but the clouds didn't stop us from seeing the attractions. There was a large crowd but nothing, nothing like normal days. Our guide said it was because of the holiday (Columbus Day). Great for us! The guide gave an overview of Battery Park and sent us on our journey. I enjoyed this tour because we were able to visit at our own pace. Beware, the prices at the SOF cafe are steep but the food is acceptable if you are hungry.

This was a great experience and Casey was an amazing tour guide. He combined history with humor and you could tell he really loves his job. He kept everyone together without making us feel like we were being herded around. Not having to look for or wait for other tour members really maximized the time we were able to spend on Liberty and Ellis Islands

Hearing details about the Statue of Liberty from our guide Tony Di Sante brought it to life. Seeing the buildings on Ellis Island made me wonder about my own families immigration here.
