Your two-hour tour of Greenwich Village kicks off at the Waverly Diner on the corner of 6th Avenue and Waverly Place, where your guide will share the history of the village.

Make your way towards Washington Square Park and check out key landmarks like the home of Edgar Allan Poe and the famous Washington Square Hotel. You'll have time to walk around the park, which still attracts musicians, performers and protestors.

Your guide will take you to the Brown Building, part of the New York University Campus, which is where the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire occurred. This event was the turning point for the American labor movement and generated a press for workers' rights and safety.

You'll wander down McDougal Street and see cafes where Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Bruce Springsteen performed early in their careers and pass by the Comedy Cellar, where Jimmy Fallon, Jerry Seinfeld, and Dave Chappelle still perform.

Learn where to get the best slice in the city and venture down Christopher Street, where you'll see The Stonewall Inn and learn about the gay rights movement to end your tour.

My tour guide, Ricky, was wonderful. He enjoyed sharing the stories of every place we visited. He was enthusiastic and passionate. I got immersed in the tales. He took the time to make sure I had a great experience and covered everything mentioned in the overview of the tour. I highly recommend him. :)

Liz was wonderful! She was so knowledgeable about the places she showed us and was great about letting us stop in a shop for the best cappuccino we have ever had! My daughter and I both agree our walking tour of Greenwich Village was one of our favorite things about our NYC trip! We highly recommend Liz!

Excellent Experience

My husband and I did a walking tour of Greenwich Village. The booking process was great. Very easy to navigate and your provided a lot of information and details so you know what to expect. Our tour guide was Patrick who was amazing. So much energy and character and genuine enthusiasm for his job even on the very very cold day we went. Being a Floridian single digits with the wind made us miserable but listening to Patrick helped take our mind off the cold. He had so many fun and interesting stories and we learned so much. Next time we go back to New York we will definitely be booking another tour.

Although I have lived and worked in NYC, there's nothing quite like a guided walking tour. James had us fascinated with the history of the many blocks that create Greenwich Village. Want to know about the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire? Did you know early villagers buried the dead in Washington Square Park? And, how about the writers and musicians of the Beat Generation who hung out there? Our tour reflected on that special era. Thank you, James.

Highlight of the trip!

Victoria took my mom and a friend and I through Greenwich Village. She was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and seems to have a passion for the neighborhood which spans far beyond the course of the script that the company presumably provides. I had many questions for her and she had all of the answers. From the Beats to an underground graveyard to the gay liberation movement to the history of the original settlers of manhattan, we learned about it all. Thanks for the tour!

Nicole took us on a wonderful two-hour tour through Greenwich Village on a cold and windy November afternoon. Lots of knowledge of the area, and gave lots of ideas of places to visit on the next trip to NYC!
