Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Make your way to the family-owned Kualoa Ranch, a working cattle ranch in the sacred Ka'a'awa Valley. The windward side of the island, where the ranch is located, has a very different landscape than the beaches of Waikiki and is ripe for exploration. The cliffs, beaches and thick rainforest have made up the backdrop for many blockbuster films like Pearl Harbor and Jurassic Park.

Meet your experienced adventure guides for a short orientation, then get fitted with your safety equipment. Take off over the series of fourteen ziplines, each named for a culturally significant aspect of the Ka'a'awa Valley and ranging in length from 200 feet to 1/4 mile (.4 km). The course has an automatic braking system, so all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. Fly through the forest and across burbling natural streams. Cross several suspension bridges and learn about the local plant and animal life from your guide along the way.

Embark on a couple of short treks along nature trails, each about 5 minutes in length, as your guide points out Hawaiian medicinal plants and describes their ancient traditional uses.

The tour was fun but it would have been better if we were zip lining the mountains and not the valley. The only other thing I could say is the website says there are 14 zip lines but in reality there are only 7 and I’m not sure I would have paid as much if they had been completely honest in their advertising. The website also states we were going to be learning about native plants along the way and it was not even mentioned. I think the tour guides are bored of their jobs and spent the day flirting with the other group that went on the tour with us. Overall it was good but it could have been better.

We actually reserved the Zip line tour - but winds were too high & it was canceled. We were so discouraged thinking we paid $100 for taxi & tickets just to turn around and go home But the employees were So wonderful they were able to get us on an ATV trip. It was fabulous! We had SO much fun. Our guide-Pula was great. She was very knowledgeable, telling us about the movie sites & made our trip great!

Was a great experience - trip to zipline site included a ride though the valley which was cool to see. Once there, gear was ready to be put on. Guides did a great job helping and explaining how everything works. Then proceeded to first tower. Again, guides did a great job explaining how things worked and views were great. Had a fun time and would recommend.

As it was my first time on a zipline tour at the age of 68 the experience was awesome. It is an experience of a life time. I would recommend it to young and old to add it to their bucket list.
