Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Begin your tour with direct pickup from your Waikiki accommodations. At the Ala Wai Boat Harbor you’ll check in and have the chance to pre-order photos of your flight at your own expense.

Board your 12-seater boat and run through safety instructions from the crew. You’ll also be provided with tips for a smooth take-off from the boat.

Then, you’re off! Your boat will cruise along the water and the members of your group will take turns parasailing, either for 8 minutes with an 800-foot (244-meter) line, or for 10 minutes on a 1,200-foot (366-meter) line. Prepare to be paired with one or two others when you fly, reaching a maximum altitude of 500 feet (152 meters). Take in the stunning, bird's-eye views of Oahu and see the island from an entirely new and breathtaking perspective.

When you return to the boat, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery and marine life around you. You can ask the captain for a quick dip in the water or can stay dry for the duration of the tour. Dolphin and sea turtle spottings are common while you’re traveling across the water, as well as flying fish. During December to May, you may also see whales during their migration.

After returning to the dock, you’ll have a chance to preview and purchase your photos before being transported back to your hotel by your driver.

A must do! Fabulous

It was AMAZING, feeling like you were flying over the Pacific! What made it truly spectacular were do you guys that were working on the boat. I have really really poor eyesight but they made certain to help me every step of the way so that I was able to participate and enjoy myself just as much as everyone else. Instead of feeling different they made me feel special! Those guys are terrific and the experience was AWESOME!!

Thanks so much Chris, I am so happy that we could give you something to experience when you might be a little limited in what you can do with poor vision. You are special just for doing this activity.

Sky high adventure

Our adventure guides Jamie and Jerry (hope those were their names) were amazing! We had a bonus of spotting some whales as we floated above the waters off Waikiki!

Whale season from December to May is the best time to go parasailing just because of the whales, it is a sight not seen by very many in this world from up above in a parachute looking down at them. You are one of the lucky ones to time it just right. Thanks for your review.

This was an amazing experience that I have wanted to do for a long time. It is well worth the money.

The view doesn't get much better than high up in the air from a parasail chute looking out over the ocean to Diamond Head Crater and Waikiki Beach. Happy you finally got to go. Thanks for your comment.

Ropes Need Changing

The experience itself was amazing. The views of Hawaii 1000 feet in the air is breathtaking. The two staff on the boat are pretty fabulous as well. However, the sound of the ropes snapping as we were being lifted into the air was horrifying. They were about to break, this I am sure. New equipment is needed to ensure passenger safety and confidence. Please update your lifting gear ASAP. Boat returned 20 minutes early as well. We did not get a full one hour tour.

Happy that the experience as you say was amazing and my staff were fabulous. As for the sound of the ropes snapping, that was likely the sound of the parachute itself fluttering in the wind. My company is one of the few companies in the industry that utilizes the strongest line, or rope as you say, possible. It is call "Dyneema", you can look it up, it is a synthetic line that is 3 times stronger breaking strength than the Nylon line that most other companies use. The other companies don't use it because it is also 3 times more expensive, but I don't sacrifice safety for money. Even many barge tow boats are changing from steel cable tow line to this Dyneema synthetic tow line. We change and document the change to new tow line every 3 months without exception. You must not have gone out with a full boat to have come back early, we usually go out with 8-10 persons and fly 2-3 persons at a time and that takes up a full hour. The boat ride to start location takes 5-10 minutes each way so you either were the only ones on that trip or were with only 1 other party to have come back earlier than 1 hour. You are buying and we are selling parasailing not boat rides. The description on any of our editorials mentioning 1 hour boat ride is for the purpose to inform the customers of how long they may expect to be out in the ocean on this parasail boat, most people are concerned about becoming seasick if they are out in the boat for too long of a period of time or they are concerned due to other activities they have planned after going parasailing. I hope that helps to explain your concerns with your trip out on one of my boats while parasailing. Thank you!

My teenagers favorite...
Jennifer_M
, Mar 2021
My teenagers favorite spot was the Makapu’u Lookout. Least favorite was snorkeling area because the water was so brown and filled with debris from all the rains. Not fault of the tour but wish we would have been able to go to a different snorkeling spot with clear water. Excellent tour and would definitely recommend.

The crew kept everyone relaxed and laughing. I’m afraid of heights but this was such a beautiful and positive experience. I would definitely recommend these two.

Thank you for your nice review. We get a lot of customers afraid of heights for some reason and all of them say it was not scary and they loved it and would do it again.
