Be ready for convenient pickup at your Panama City hotel; morning or afternoon departure times are available.

Travel to the Gamboa Marina in an air-conditioned tour vehicle with your guide and group. Transfer to a riverboat for a ride on the Chagres River, bound for Monkey Island. Observe the white-face monkeys, howler monkeys, and Geoffrey´s tamarinds when you arrived on the island. Snap photos and learn about the different species from your guide.

Return to the marina and to Panama City the way you came; your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

The tour starts with hotel pick up in Panama City followed by a transfer to the Gamboa Marina. Once there, you will go on a 35-minute boat ride on the Chagres River until you reach the Monkey Island, Together with a guide, you will spend about 80 minutes observing the different species of monkeys. After the visit, you will go on a 35-minute boat ride back to the Gamboa Marina followed by a transfer back to your hotel.

Authentic excursion. We have seen 3 types of monkeys, bats, blue big butterflies and a small crocodile. Cool guides with intrresting information about animals. Don't forget some cash for tips cus we didn't have any... Sorry guys, next time!

I genuinely didn't expect much on this trip. All I wanted was to see a sloth- I didn't. That being said, Mario was a brilliant guide. He started the tour early because of the rain and took his time to ensure everyone was comfortable and that we'd have a blast. He told us we might not see the three monkey sp. but we did. The white faced capuchins boldly interacted with us of their own accord and the tiny tamarin was a bit more shy although it too came into the boat. The howlers lazed around in their tree just vybing and howling from time to time and we also got to see aggressive displays by two alpha male capuchins across the river from their their respective islands. Honestly, I'd pay more to experience this as the cost was more than worth it. Further, Mario was extremely interactive and friendly with us but mostly importantly, honest. I forgot my phone on the shuttle after the trip and he ran back to drop it off. Please take this trip and support these guys. I promise you won't regret it. I wish we had more time in beautiful Panama to do more tours with them but I'll return sometime and hopefully do another tour with them.

This was the highlight of our trip to Panama City! Our tour guide was Marivella and she was wonderful! She spoke excellent English, gave us a brief overview of Panama, the canal and the monkeys that we would be seeing. She properly set expectations that we may not see all types of monkeys. Yet we were luckily that her team knew where to go, how to call the monkeys, and we say all three different species! It was great fun!

The monkey island tour was so worth it. Mario was such a great tour guide. We stopped at a little restaurant to grab drinks and food before heading to the boat for monkey island. Getting to see the monkeys was so cool and a little scary at first when they jumped In the boat but overall cute and friendly. Would definitely recommend this tour

One of the best excursions I've ever been on. The guide was amazing, driver amazing, captain amazing, and we even had two monkey whisperers! No really, they called the monkeys out the forest straight to our boat. I would think the monkeys were paid actors because they were also great. Definitely recommend!!!
