Choose one of the three tour options (listed in the itinerary below) and make your way to central Paris to board your transport to the palace. Upon arrival, join your friendly guide for a small-group tour.

Once inside, explore the lavish design and ornament that adorns every room of the enormous complex. Marvel at the more than 13,000 pieces of art and fine furnishings, the sumptuous private chambers, and the elaborate gardens. With your pass, view the King’s and Queen’s luxurious apartments, the Royal Chapel, the Hall of Mirrors, the Coronation Room and the Hercules Drawing Room—a reminder that King Louis XIV glorified himself as a deity.

As you walk, enjoy your guide’s colorful commentary. Hear about the eccentricity and ambition of the French monarchy from the mid-17th century until the French Revolution. Discover the exciting details of the day in 1789 when Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were dragged from Versailles by an angry mob, to be eventually beheaded in Paris.

Finish your tour with a stroll through the gardens, covering more than 1,800 well-manicured acres. Depending on the day and your tour option, catch the Fountains Show or the Musical Gardens show before departing.
Stop At:
Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles in true royal fashion. As your guide shows you around a carefully curated selection of the palace’s 700 rooms, you’ll hear stories of the Sun King, Louis XIV, his successors, their queens, mistresses, and courtiers – including Marie Antoinette and other notable figures. Versailles had its heyday in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the Sun King elevated Louis XIII’s humble hunting lodge into the official seat of the French court – and 300 years later, the palace has lost little of its glamorous excess.

Depending on the day, your tour of the Gardens may include the Musical Fountain Show (where fountains dance in perfect time to classical music) or Musical Gardens (where music accompanies your tour through the idyllic glades).

Great time!
, Dec 2019
Everything ran very smoothly and our guide Silvie was fantastic! I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see Versailles for a half day trip with a guide and tickets in hand.
Great Tour Guide, But Poorly Planned by Company
, Dec 2019
We visited Versailles on our honeymoon. Only had a few days in Paris, so thought skipping the line would save us time. Instead, we found ourselves stuck, waiting outside in the cold and rain for the greater part of over an hour to get in. We were soaked by the time our tour commenced, and our poor tour guide was trying to manage the crowds and maintain a positive attitude. Kudos to him, but really disappointed in overall experience.
Historical structure
, Nov 2019
It’s historical and culturally how a king’s living style as money is not a concern. Despite the rain there’s no lacking of American tourists. Our guide is okay. Maybe anxious to share her knowledge; talking more than we can absorb.
Awesome job by Manny!

Great tour led by Manny! Only issue was waiting in the rain for the Skip-the-Line tickets, but I believe it was due to the fault of the palace staff. Manny was excellent and would definitely recommend this tour to others!
Versailles Palace & Gardens

Overall experience was good, but still had to wait in line to enter for over an hour in the rain. Our tour arrived early and then had to wait for other groups to enter, that arrived after their appointed times. With that said, Skip the Line was certainly faster the general population. Due to rain, the headsets worked inconsistently.

Our tour guide, Christina, was excellent. She got us through a crowded venue with ease. Her knowledge of the palace was impressive and her stories very entertaining. We highly recommend her
City Wonders tour guide never showed up.
, Oct 2019
My wife and I along with two couples from New York and London were at the location at least an hour ahead of the appointed time for the Versailles tour with City Wonders. The tour guide never showed up. There was also a couple there for another City Wonders tour. Their guide did not show up either. All of us called our booking agents, who then called City Wonders and were told that we were not there when the tour started. There was no question that we were in the right place to meet.
Unprepared guide
, Oct 2019
The tour was just ok. The guide was late and we had to wait for headsets and again for tickets; things best prepared ahead of time. That said, she was knowledgeable about Versailles.
Could have been better
, Oct 2019
The guide spent too much time discussing the history of what is being depiicted in each painting. For one painting, at least 20 minutes had lapsed, and the group had not moved on. Several tour groups had arrived and left way before the group. As a result, we didn't have enough time to see the gardens at Versailles.
Couldn’t find guide and then was rejected when I caught up
, Sep 2019
I was unable to locate my guide and even though calling and letting them know I was within 200 feet from them per the map they left without me. I then provided my own private transportation to catch up with the tour and when I found out that I was unable to re-join even though they had not yet entered a location. They will not offer a refund and I will never book with him again.
