Explore the outer reaches of the Great Barrier Reef with this full-day adventure to Agincourt Reef, which sits at the edge of the Continental Shelf. After pickup from your Port Douglas hotel, board a comfortable 95-foot (29-meter) catamaran and settle in among the inside cabin seats or sun decks for the scenic ride out to the reef.

Throughout the day, visit three renowned dive sites that the cruise has exclusive access to, and customize your adventure with different options for exploring the reef. If you prefer to stay close to the surface, splash into the clear waters with provided snorkeling equipment and either snorkel on your own or join a guided tour. Or, go even deeper with a scuba experience. Beginning divers can try an introductory dive, and those with scuba certification can embark on up to three certified dives.

No matter what you choose, you’ll get an up-close perspective on the spectacular ribbon reef teaming with an array of marine life such as schools of tropical fish, small reef sharks, massive coral formations and giant clams weighing up to 440 pounds (200 kg)!

When you come to the surface, recharge with a delicious buffet lunch on board, and break for morning and afternoon tea. Grab a drink from the fully licensed bar if you’d like something stronger (own expense), and stay comfortable with facilities including restrooms and freshwater showers. After approximately 5 hours at the reef, relax and soak up views of the Coral Sea on the return trip to Port Douglas.

What a wonderful crew. So informative and friendly. They took the time to make sure I was feeling comfortable in the water and made sure I saw some amazing sites. The coral and fish were stunning. The Reef is looking amazing now and well recovered from what we were told. The 3 reefs we were taken to were amazing...each one different from the other. The food was one of the best you get on any tour, plentiful. The vessel is well kept and clean. Could not fault anything at all. Will definitely recommend to others this company and tour and would do it again in a heart beat.

Was ok

Crew and food was good. 1 out of 3 of the dive sites was worthwhile, the other two were overcrowded and visibility was average. Can’t blame the crew for that.
Great experience

I did two intro dives. My instructor Simon did a wonderful job ensuring you felt comfortable with the whole process and was a great guide under the water always on the look out for cool marine life. I highly recommend.
Incredible service and so many fish!!
, Jun 2021
My husband, 3 kids snd myself had an incredible time on the reef with silversonic. This is the second time I have been with them and both times the staff went over and above what is expected of them. Lots of great food available most of the day. Both times I have been I saw at least 20 times more fish than I ever. saw on previous reef trips with other companies (to the inner reef). I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Great snorkelling spots
, Jun 2021
The Agincourt reef spots were fantastic! Great snorkelling and a lot of time on the reef which was great! All staff members were relatively friendly, Tami was our favourite, she was so lovely, Jamie was quite unpleasant and she really just did not want to be there. Other than that our day was good.
Great vibe
, Apr 2021
The team was fun and professional, they took a lot of care for everyone and the catering was yummy. I lived the trip, the extensive knowledge of the guided tours and the vibe on the very clean catamaran sailing boat - all finishing with a romantic sunset in a dramatic sky. Highly recommended - I’ll do it again.
Excellent experience!!

I booked the great barrier reef diving from viator for my sister and myself in $650. We did not know swimming and we were not told anything about it in advance or at the viator website. As soon as we left for the great barrier reef we were then asked to fill a form where they asked about we were refused to be taken for diving. As i had already done diving in the past we were not prepared for it. So the entire day at was wasted and the money too. We were only refunded $140. There was no break up cost shown on the website. It was a very disturbing day for us.
