Wine and History in the Willamette Valley
, Nov 2021
Camille was extremely knowledgeable, personable and punctual. She took us to three excellent vineyards that we probably would not have visited on our own. She regaled us with stories that went beyond the surface and dug into the history of both the region and the vineculture. Lunch was fantastic, featuring homemade hummus and a great selection of meats and cheeses.l, finished with home made chocolate chip cookies. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the history of winemaking in the Willamette Valley and tasting some fantastic Oregon wines.

Thank you so much, you and Katie were a lot of fun to hang out with. and thank you for being accommodating to Vivian too. All 3 wineries were great but I think our last stop with Rob at Haakon Lenai was a rare wine experience even for me. I appreciate the review and really hope you guys can make it out here again some day. We'll go to 3 more great wineries.. because remember.. "I know a place.. I'll take you there".
Kevin was a great tour...

Kevin was a great tour guide! Very knowledgable of the area and industry. He was very personable and friendly as well. Gorgeous scenery and great wine! We had a wonderful time!
Fun , social, great wine

Great transportation with a knowledgeable guide. Nice choice of 3 wineries. Good choice of wines without feeling like we were just there to drink. Easy to order wine and have it sent home. Fun day with a nice group of folks.
overpriced and too much down time
, Aug 2021
The driver was great, no complaints there. He was a good driver, picked us up on time and got us back to the hotel safely. We visited 3 wineries on this tour. The 1st winery was the best. At the 2nd winery, the driver put out a spread of snack food that looked like it was purchased at Costco or Trader Joe's. It was certainly not a lunch. After everyone finished "lunch" and the driver cleaned up, we waited over an hour before moving onto the 3rd and last winery - way too much down time! When we arrived at the 3rd winery, we waited again (this time in the hot van) for about 20 minutes because there was a group finishing up before us. It was way too much time wasted! Another big negative on this wine tour was the price of the tour, especially in light of the fact that the tastings fee were not included. It was extremely expensive and disappointing for what we got - mainly a driver and we could have hired our own driver for way less money. It would have been more time efficient given the limited time we had in the Portland area. I generally never write negative reviews but this tour was not worth the money, sorry!

Introductory tour of small wineries
, Aug 2021
Good introduction to the area but needs a few improvements. First of all, it would be better to say the number of wineries that will be visited rather than a range. We ended up going to 3 wineries only so given the price of the tour and the fact that the tasting fees were extra it did not feel like we got our money’s worth. All the 3 wineries we visited were on the small scale, it would be better to include some bigger more famous wineries in the tour to cover the broader spectrum. As lunch that is included is a cheese board it would be better to make the first morning stop at a place where folks can grab breakfast or lunch sandwiches.

Oh No.. I'm so sorry you didn't have the experience you were hoping for, but we do try our best to give all of our guests a memorable time visiting our wine region. If you were that disappointed I wish you would have called us directly and maybe we could have made it up to you somehow but now that you have left us a bad review it's a little too late. We honestly try to avoid the larger wineries just due to the fact that you get more attention from the servers at the smaller wineries. Also, if you book a private tour you can select wineries more specific to your liking. As far as lunch goes, we do advise everyone to have a good breakfast before we pick them up and then we prepare more than just a cheese board, it is a full charcuterie platter with meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, humus and vegetables, nuts, olives, cookies... etc. If you booked through VIATOR that platform does not give you access to our website where you would find more details about the day. All of that aside, I do hope you enjoyed something about the day, the beautiful countryside, the guide and most important, the wines

If you haven’t picked a tour yet, pick this one
, Jul 2021
Two most memorable were the wine tour guide Wayne the Wine Wizard and the view from the tasting room at Holloran winery. Wayne was super knowledgeable about all aspects of wine. One thing he, thankfully, lacked was a level of pretension that can often be found on these kinds of tours. He didn’t expect you to be a wine genius and to go into the tour knowing everything about the process. He stressed that wine is a subjective experience and that not everyone is going to have the same likes and dislikes. On top of all that, he was an incredibly friendly person to be around. He made everyone feel very welcomed and encouraged us to mingle with the other couples on the tour. The environment of the tour was overall fantastic and my new wife and I felt very lucky to have Wayne as a tour guide. If you want a snooty and uppity tour this is not the place for you. If you want to enjoy a beautiful day of tasting hand selected vintages of incredible wines, stop waiting and book your tour.
