Returns to original departure point
Your luxury mini-coach departs bright and early from downtown Portland.

Your first stop is at Ecola State Park, where you can take in stunning views of the Oregon coastline.

Next up is Cannon Beach. Upon arrival, head to Haystack rock, an enormous monolith that earned fame in the film The Goonies. Walk all the way to Haystack’s base (if the tide is out), explore tide pools and glimpse scurrying sea creatures. Enjoy lunch (own expense) in the town of Cannon Beach at your preferred local eatery.

After lunch, reboard your mini-coach for a southbound tour along the famous coastal US Highway 101. Along the way, explore the unique beauty of the Oregon coast and stop at beautiful beaches along the way. Stop at breathtaking scenic overlooks, admire the Pacific Ocean as it crashes along the cliffs, and visit other small towns that dot the coastline. Upon arriving at the Neahkahnie Overlook, keep a look out for gray whales while gazing out into Tillamook Bay.

Afterward, one of your last stops is at Oswald West State Park.

Your tour concludes back at the starting point, in downtown Portland.
Stop At:
Director Park
Our central meeting location and pick up point! A beautiful, urban park in the middle of Downtown Portland.
Duration: 5 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Ecola State Park
After the morning drive along the Sunset Highway, Oregon's first automobile route through the Cascade Mountain Range, we'll meander through a lush Sitka spruce forest to Ecola State Park. We’ll momentarily leave the vehicle behind and explore this coastal oasis. If time allows, we may also travel back through the forest to Indian beach. This secluded pocket hides away from much of the summertime crowd and is a favorite spot for local beach combers.
Duration: 40 minutes
Admission Ticket Included
Stop At:
Haystack Rock
After leaving the Ecola State Park, we will be sure to visit Haystack Rock, a sea stack just off the shore of Cannon Beach made famous by its resemblance to its namesake. Claimed to be the third tallest “intertidal” structure in the world, it is a huge basalt rock that was formed by lava flows over 15 million years ago! Here we’ll walk along the sandy beach, watch beautiful birds circle the rock, and if we’re lucky and the tide is out, we’ll view many species of marine wildlife in their natural tide pool habitat.
Duration: 30 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Cannon Beach
The town of Cannon Beach will be the backdrop of our lunch stop for the day. Guests will disperse for free time and are able to take their pick of several small-town eateries, each boasting their own eclectic menus.
Duration: 1 hour
Admission Ticket Free
Pass By:
Oregon Coast Highway 101
For the afternoon, we'll head south on the famous Pacific Coast Scenic Byway (Highway 101) to explore more beautiful coastal shores.
Stop At:
Neahkahnie Mountain
Upon Neahkahnie Overlook, we’ll stop to enjoy stunning views along the highest drive-able point along the Oregon coast!
Duration: 10 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Oswald West State Park
We'll journey to Oswald West State Park, aptly named after the Oregon Governor Oswald West. Governor West is credited with ensuring our vast Oregon coastline would remain open for public use. Our stop in the state park will be tide and group dependent. We may opt to take a short, forested hike following along Short Sand Creek which opens to a driftwood stacked coastline known as Smugglers Cove. A variable from this stop may be a short visit to Hug Point if the tides are low. Here, we are typically able to walk around the point to view a small coastal waterfall!
Duration: 45 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:

I’m so glad we took this tour. They were very accommodating, very knowledgeable, friendly, enjoyable. We toured with Evan and I can’t imagine anyone better. The views were spectacular and the company was lovely. I would do this again 100%.
Great highlights of the coast

Evan was a fantastic tour guide, it's a whirlwind trip and schedule is tight, bit we had lots of highlights and a delightful information filled drive.
Not worth it. Horrible guide

It was great to see the coast but I have to say the price and what we get to do and see is not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend this company. The Tour guide I believe his name was Chuck was very very rude. His helper was very kind though and made our experience better. As we walked back up from our last stop at a trail with the younger guide that was helping he came and yelled at us to hurry. We were only about 2 minutes off and already walking we had taken some pictures on the trail because originally he told us to take them on the way back and didn’t allow pics on the way to the beach We told him we needed to use the bathroom and while my mom and i were in the stalls he literally yelled into the stalls to hurry! Are you serious what else would a 65 year old mom and daughter be doing in the bathroom. So so rude! And it was not longer than 5 minutes. He should know women take a little longer in the bathroom then men. But He didn’t care how long we stayed in each point his only concern was getting himself back to Portland by 430pm. He sped the whole way passing cars on two lanes And yes he did get us back at 430pm thankfully with no car accidents. I had booked the waterfalls with this tour company for Sunday the next day and cancelled it because of this guide

It was a good day trip.
, Aug 2021
Although it was rainy and very foggy, we loved the tour. The views were somewhat hindered by the fog. The walk down to the beach at Short Sand was very nice. Our tour guide was knowledgeable.

Haystack rock was amazing, even in the misty, cold rain. The town of Cannon is quaint and the tour guide did a great job pointing out the best spots to grab a hot coffee and good bite to eat. Oswald West was breathtaking and worth every penny paid for the tour. The short walk out to the beach was beautiful and the tour guide was awesome at pointing out foliage that shouldn’t be missed. It was awesome that it was cloudy and rainy. It made the feel of coastal Oregon so much more real! All in all, this tour was amazing in every way. I’m so glad I did it!
Great trip to Pacific coast.

Beautiful, rugged coast and Pacific beaches. Guide was informative. Lots of good lunch options he explained well. Coast was MUCH cooler/colder than Portland (30 degrees lower and very windy adding to the chill). Believe the trip info, check forecast for Cannon Beach and definitely wear layers.

Fun and informative

Our tour guide Chuck was very personable and knowledgeable. The tour was fun and the Oregon coast is beautiful. If you’re staying in Portland and you’d like to see the coast without having to rent a car and figure things out on your own, I would highly recommend this tour.
Lovely tour!
, Oct 2019
My husband and I had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide, Megan, was an absolute delight. She had so much info to share about Oregon, and it was nice to be around someone who loves what they do and loves their state. The weather was rainy/cloudy off and on for most of our day, but it was still a beautiful time. Plus, on Megan's suggestion, our group took an extended walk through a forest out to the beach and the weather cleared, the skies turned blue, and it was just gorgeous. This tour is perfect for people who are in Portland for a few days but don't want to rent a car but *do* want to see more of Oregon. Great mix of being in the car whist the tour guide provides info about the area and getting out at stops and spending time there. So happy we booked this!
