Discovery Package: Snorkeling Cruise and Dune buggy Adventure At Punta Cana

The buggy was freaking awesome.. we were schedule for the snorkeling catamaran for our Anniversary today and it's Raining really bad only enjoyed half of this excursion 😢.

Buggy is top Catamaran and natural pool is just a place to drink with a lot of boat in a small place

Best excursion. Charlie our tour guide was awesome next time I come I'll request him again. I will say you will get really muddy make sure you bring some goggles and maybe a towel.

We had a great time! Both aspects of the tour were amazing! Charlie was the best. Beware the mud from the buggy tour stains clothes so wear something you don't mind getting dirty.

The trip was great transportation was provided and punctual. Disappointments: We bought a wood figurine for $30 from a vender at Buggy site and was supposed to be etched with our names and given to us upon return from adventure that day. We never received our figurine, even after asking and sending email and was told it would be delivered to us at the resort. Again the trip was fun, at times a bit taxing with all the people constantly trying to place a lizard, Parrot, or a Monkey on your shoulder for money not to mention the merchandise sales people and locals selling all types of local fruits. So be prepared

We had a great time on this excursion! I was pleasantly surprised that we used the Honda buggys/ATVs instead of the smaller ones lower to the ground. Turns out, we saw a BUNCH of them broken down with people stalled while they got fixed. None of our Hondas broke down (only one got a little overheated at the end but it started again no problem)! First half - ATVs Charlie "Chocolate" as he called himself was AMAZING. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and gave us a great overview of what to expect and what to be aware of before we left. It wouldn't have been the same without Charlie Chocolate!! One thing I'd change - less time at the first stop, Macao Beach and more time at the water caverns/shops. Macao Beach was beautiful but we didn't need to be there as long as we were - plus there are alot of vendors trying to sell to you the entire time. The coffee and cacao stop was also super cool! I kid you not, some of the best coffee and hot chocolate I've tasted in my life! I would highly encouraging buying some! It was very reasonably priced and some of the proceeds go to the children and schools of the community. Second half - Boat and Snorkeling So after about an hour/hour and a half back at our hotel, we left for the snorkeling/party boat. I will say this.... at least for ours... it is MORE SO a party boat and not super focused on snorkeling. The boat was overbooked and though capacity says 50, I believe there was about 63 people total. Not all of whic paid for snorkeling. So our 45 minutes snorkeling stop ended up being around 15 minutes? And it wasn't near a reef. The rest of the trip was cruising and stopping at the Natural Pool/Bavaro Beach. This was fun! The BEST part of this trip though would defintely have been Alex! He was so attentive and ensured we had everything we needed or wanted throughout the cruise. I'm so glad we had him with us! All in all this was a great excursion though I favored the first half. I would definitely try a different snorkeling trip more focused on this aspect. Please be aware this boat is most definitely a party boat and you likely would not have a good time if you're not wanting that kind of vibe. Like I said, me and my friends had fun but it got a littttleeeee too cray toward the end hahaha. Just fair warning! And I have no idea if it would be this way the next time!

Buggies were fun. Beach was nice. Boat was fun. Definitely a party boat. Not meant for kids. I would not have been happy if I took my children on the boat. Our guide Alec was very helpful and fun to hang out with.

Loved this excursion. Shared a family buggy with my son and his girlfriend. Had a great time. Drove through lots of mud, jumped in water in a cave, visited a beach, swam with stingrays and sharks, went snorkeling on a boat that had a water slide. Everyone on the boat had a blast. Staff was amazing! Would do this excursion again.

The only reason I’m giving this 5 stars is because of The Catamaran. It was the most enjoyable part of the excursion! My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and they made it so enjoyable! The staff was amazing and made you feel comfortable. For Dune Buggy, we were so excited to splash through puddles & get muddy, but that barely happened. The staff didn’t let us go through much and pretty much ruined the the experience. As for the views, they were beautiful. I enjoyed the chocolate/coffee tasting and visiting the cave. It was so beautiful and great for pictures.

Where to begin????? We were picked up at our hotel in an 'open air' bus. The wind and the rain were lashing in the sides as the driver did not bother to lower the flaps! I ended up with an earache!!!!! We arrived at the 'dune buggy' site and were guided to a filthy buggy with disgusting helmets. The steering was extremely sloppy and a bit scary as children came running from homes towards the buggies! And, brakes did not work well!!! There was garbage all along the sides of the roads!!!!! We had to drive through numerous ponds of deep muddy water which splashed over us. We had to throw out our shirts, sandals and our beach bag!!!! This was not the experience we read about!!!!!! I would NOT RECOMMEND this excursion to anyone!!!!
