Not living up to expectations.
, May 2021
Not what I expected. First of all the whole.trip to the island was by motor. The sail was opened but not powering the boat. The sail was patched in multiple places and looked like it was falling apart. Only one leg of the trip was on the catamaran. Trip back was using a motor boat. On the island there were beach chairs and we were constantly being harassed by vendors. Really not much than staying at the hotel. Overall an average experience.

Ellison, thank you so much for your review. I believe it is important to clarify a few things. If the sail is open, IT IS helping the motor in some way. The tours have strict schedules and specific times of when to arrive to the designated areas and beach (and return). If we relied on mother nature only (wind), it would be nearly impossible to make it on time anywhere. Those patches on the sail, are called "ribs". A large sail is actually made of several segments (they would look like patches to the neophite) but is is actually part of the structure and makes it stronger to sustain the weight of the vessel and the amount of persons that it carries. Beach vendors are a fact of life in any caribbean beach or destination. Sorry that offering a product means harassment to you. We will monitor them more effectively so they moderate their technique. Thank you for coming with us!

The tour guide, David (pronounced Daveed), was exceptional. The speed boat there and catamaran back were splendid experiences. Met lots of neat people. Drinks flowing. Saona Isle was paradise!

Pick up and drop off service was great. Excursion was wonderful. Only draw backs was the beach surrounding the island was very rocky and the food was lacking flavor.
