BEAUTIFUL OCEAN, LONG TRAVEL TIME!

1st things 1st! Eventhough nearly all of the time was spent traveling between vehicles, this tour is still worth it because of the Amazing ocean experience!! This tour ended being approximately 10hrs (hotel pick up to drop off.) We were picked up from the hotel in a mini van. After about 15mins of riding, we waited at a gas station to then transfer to a larger tour bus that transported us over an hr to a town where we checked in & got on a speedboat. After approximately 40-60mins, we arrived at a clear water swimming area in the middle of the ocean. No description could paint a great enough picture for you! The water is clear & is about waist high on an approximate 6' person. We spent about 40mins in the water before we continue about 30-40mins to the beautiful island. The food which was included was just ok. There is no alcohol on this excursion anymore, just soda & water. The beach was awesome & the water was Perfect! After we ate we only had about an hr & a half to enjoy! After the that time we rode on a catamaran about 90mins back to land where we caught 2 vehicles totally about 2hrs until arriving back at the hotel. The water was absolutely AMAZING, but be ready for a Loooong days journey if you choose this Excursion!

Choose another company!

The place was very beautiful, but the company…. First, we were waiting for 1.5 hours inside a van, for a bus that never showed up. Then, the only way to don’t loose the day, was to buy a private ride to the bay (we had to pai an additional USD 100!!). Then, at the island, around 3pm, we run out of potable water… Incredible… Isla Saona is a wonderful place, but you should choose another company.

Our driver showed up 1.5 hour later than expected and no communication to let us know transportation will be late.

Nice island, clear water, white sand but you can’t do nothing without somebody try to sell you something. Food not good. Our guide was very nice and funny. Had fun at the Catamaran(good music/dancers)

Soana Island

It was a great time on Soana Island. The prices were cheaper than others. The day was 12 hours not 8-10 so that was a little much. Otherwise it was great!!

Really amazing day trip. The tour guides & photographers were amazing! It was great beating able to set my phone down, knowing they were going to take the pictures for us. Food was good, water was warm, and I had sand between my toes.. I really can’t be unhappy!

Great day at sea

Great trip little Chaotic when the bus gets you to the boat launch with all the street vendors. But our guide did a great job making sure we knew where to go. The boat staff we great and very helpful especially when transferring from the smaller boat to the catamaran. Island is beautiful the sea is so colorful over there. The feed us a great lunch - I only wish we were on the island longer I didn't need the stop in the natural water area.

Beach and staff great, but people constantly trying to sell you something-not as relaxing as it could be.

This would have been a 5-star review if not for people constantly trying to sell you something on the beach, the photographers who are part of the excursion repeatedly trying to take your picture even after saying no, and the boats coming in and out of the swimming area. The tour guide, Daddy (yes, Daddy, lol), the bus driver, and all other associated staff on the boats were all great. The beach was beautiful. It was clear blue water and you could see and touch the bottom pretty far out. It was better than our resort beach by far because it was calm and swimmable. You could actually float and relax without being beat by waves. If you don’t mind the constant heckling then I highly recommend this excursion, otherwise expect to be bothered literally every two to three minutes regardless of whether or not you’re trying to relax. It was a cheaper excursion so if your are on a budget this is a great deal.

Never again

The bus was very late. Made over 14 stops. The staff was kind but completely did not let me go with my friends and group leaving me to ride alone with strangers. We only got to swim for maybe 10 min before we had to go back.

Starfish dying and music too loud

Tour operators should be more ecologically educated and tell tour NOT to disturb starfish. Bring earplugs because music is too loud.
